“This wasn't my kind of place, but I could definitely see why people would like it. I didn't enjoy my burger, the patty was so thin and dry, but the onion rings were ok. The food coming out of the very clean looking kitchen looked fresh. The fries are obviously hand cut, and the tenderloin looked better than others in the town. It's a local hangout for sure. People were smiling and having a wonderful time, so I may try again someday. I wish the decor was more inviting, it's very stark like a cafeteria; but again, it's not the kind of place I tend to enjoy. So perhaps my opinion isn't really relevant here. If you're a kind of person who loves fried foods, this place is your new place. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying this place, the kitchen was clean, the space was clean, the food is all prepared fresh, so there is nothing to loose in trying it out.Kid-friendliness: Kids would like this.“
“We visited this cafe after reading about it in the Rural Missouri magazine. We were also told about it by our neighbors. I had the fried chicken with spicy fried green beans. The chicken was fried perfectly. It was lightly coated and crispy, which didn't take away from the chicken flavor. The chef knows how to fry chicken. All the pieces of chicken were very juicy. The fried green beans were great. I never had green beans that way before, and I was surprised how good they were. I will go back and try more items off the menu. I do recommend this place for a great meal and at a great value. This also included drinks, 1 appetizer, and dessert.“
“We had the grilled chicken wrap and tots, cheeseburger with tots and chicken strips with tots. The wrap was basic, chicken, lettuce, cheese and dressing. It was a little small but it was good. The cheeseburger we all tried and thought it was good. The chicken strips were your basic, run of the mill, dry chicken strips. The tots were crispy and not too greasy. The service was good. The bathrooms are really small single user bathrooms. The building seemed to be big enough to hold a lot of people in it's two sections with the kitchen in the middle. Over all the place was ok but nothing special about it though.Parking: Parking along side of building, in front on the street, along other side on the street and there is a parking lot across the street.“
