“They had a bus so they were super busy. We checked our order and saw our gravy was missing for the biscuits and gravy so we went back in to grab it. Upon arriving home we saw that there were no fixings for the sweet potato and the turnip greens were replaced with green beans. Not a catastrophe but we let the manager know hoping to just get our turnip greens on our way out of town (full time rvers) the manager comped our entire meal! We were not expecting that or even asked for that. That’s great customer service right there. Next time we are in St. Louis we will definitely be back.“

“Finally made it to Honey Bees for some biscuits and gravy along with a breakfast Sammie. The 2 guys working the counter were warm and welcoming when I walked up. Of course, I wanted to try the biscuits & gravy as it's one of my go tos at any breakfast restaurant. The gravy was very delicious as I selected the classic sausage gravy. The reason I state classic is they have 3 choices of gravy. Yes, you heard me right 3 homemade gravies to select from for your huge biscuits with gravy. Sausage gravy, spicy sausage gravy, or vegan choice mushroom gravy. My only criticism would be to cut the biscuit in half, pour some gravy over it, then put the top back on and pour gravy over the top. The reason I say that is there needs to be more gravy as it's a huge biscuit, and I needed more gravy. Otherwise, it was too much biscuit and not enough gravy. Now they had Sammie, so I definitely had to try one. I selected the egg, cheese, and sausage Sammie. Nuw you get a choice on the type of biscuit for your Sammie. Love that they have different choices on their items. The biscuit choices are honey glazed or Midwest rancher, which is a spicy biscuit. You know me, I had to try the Midwest rancher biscuit. I haven't tried it yet, that will be breakfast or lunch tomorrow. I can tell you ita huge as are all their biscuits. My choice was egg, sausage, and cheese on the Midwest rancher biscuit. I looked at it and really smart the cook the egg in a square shape with great seasoning, sausage patty was big too boot and cheese was nice & fresh not a slice. So tomorrow, I will update you on the Sammie. Prices are definitely reasonable for these huge biscuit dishes, for sure. Also, there is inside or outdoor seating. Nice stop while you're out shopping for a quick bite to eat there or for take home, which was my preference. Need to take my little brother there so he can try out the tasty, delicious, huge biscuits. I really enjoy supporting local businesses for such fabulous homemade dishes.“

“That's some delicious fried chicken. Well breaded and fried with a nice base level of spiciness. I got a recommendation to check it out, so I was a little surprised they didn't have different levels of spiciness, but it was very tasty, so it worked for me.Standard sides are beans and slaw, which were both good. The fried okra was a step up and fresh with a good batter. We were a walk-in party of 8, which they were easily able to accommodate, but the food took a little longer than we anticipated. Well worth the wait.“

“Today I found myself at a nice little Cajun place in Webster Groves. I originally set out from my house, not knowing where I wanted to eat dinner or even if I wanted dinner. My wandering took me to Webster, where I stumbled into this place and thought I wanted some fried catfish. That is exactly what I got. The place was lively when I walked in, with a live band playing and TVs all over the place showing college basketball. The place felt like walking into a bar/restaurant down in Morgan City, LA. I found a high-top seat, and a lovely waitress came over, took my order for fried catfish, coleslaw, fries and an appetizer of fried ravioli but these were stuffed with crab meat. Only thing I forgot to ask for was cornbread. Anyway, the catfish was fried well, the coleslaw tasty, the waffle fries cooked to perfection, and the ravioli took a prize for the best thing I ate while I was there. Overall, I enjoyed myself and went home full and happy. Would love to go again, especially to their brunch, which looks downright delectable.“
