“Val's is a staple on the west side. Food is consistent, but average. Nothing that stands out here. Don't go if you want homemade gravy or chicken fried steaks with your breakfast(hardly anyone makes good gravy anymore because they use the cheap mix, but their chick fried steaks aee from a freezer.) But the service is good, atmosphere welcoming, bathrooms need improvement, but overall a pleasant experience and while not my favorite, I'm sure we'll return.“
“Last time I drove 40 minutes out to Taboo they were closed by 6.. online said open till 8. We got there at 6:06. ? We went back that weekend & the teen who served us didn’t say welcome in, how’s it going, nothing. When we said thank you after ordering she didn’t say anything just walked off. I’ve been coming here since 2017-2018 when they opened. Used to love this place! Plus side is the food is still good.“
“Lake burger has great burgers!!! They have other really good food too. Their shakes are very good.It’s fun to drive there on the boat and dock, then go in to eat.We look forward to eating here when we are up at the lake.The atmosphere is good. It changes depending on when u are there. Sometimes they have live music.All the time they have swings in the back for kids. Bags to throw for games.Only knock in my opinion is you can not get a glass of water. Have to buy a $2 bottle.To go or dine in food.Highly enjoyed!Parking: Parked by boat. “Lake Burger is amazing. We have been coming to the lake since I was a baby and when Lake Burger opened it quickly became a family favorite! The service is always top notch and the food is great (but very big portion sizes!). Highly recommend coming here if you're at the lake!!“
“Cute place. Love the decor. Very clean. Staff very friendly! Haven't been in awhile. Previous few times food was ehhhh lake food. But we saw the new menu and thought we'd give it a try and I'd have to say what a change in taste of food. Everything was excellent. We was very impressed!“
“Had a bit of motorcycle trouble and had an hour and a half wait for a truck and trailer and decided to pop in for an early dinner. Everyone was super friendly, food was good and shakes were delicious!If we ever get through the area again we'll be stopping again!“
“Food and service are excellent every time, like stepping back in time, there is a smoking section and if that's not your jam please don't go there and complain about it, part of the beauty of the 5 diner experience is watching people who come in several times a week to catch up on the local gossip over coffee and a smoke, get in a hearty meal and a good laugh. They recently cleaned it up with paint and some other work on the place and definitely brought up the feel of the place. (i miss the records and trinkets that used to cover the walls though, not as homey) If you're in the area and wondering what sounds good for breakfast wonder no longer, personal favorite is the Mexican omelet just because it's different, but I've never been disappointed by quality, quantity, or price.“
