El Alteño 2 Authentic Mexican Food offers excellent food and fantastic service. Guests recommend the Asada Fries, Enchilada Trio, spinach enchilads, shrimp cocktail, tacos, Pico de gaillo, and fajitas, which were served super hot and sizzling. The Mexican rice is described as the best, and the Horchata was good but average. The seafood is very fresh and delicious, with interesting dishes not found at ordinary restaurants. Service is friendly, attentive, and excellent, especially when not busy. Prices are excellent, and there are many soda drink choices, tea, horchata, and jamaica, plus lunch specials. Some dish names have no description, so checking ahead is suggested. The only complaint was a super tiny thing of cheese dip that cost nearly $8. Guests will be returning and stopping frequently.
