Cool bar, love a dive. This place is probably great but the day my friends and I went, the bartender was rude and made us uncomfortable. We came here on our first day in Hermann and didn’t come back again the rest of the trip despite the cool dive vibes and cheap drinks. That employee should be reevaluated.

There 4 of us girls for Witches & Wine. I suggested we go to Sharps to have a burger before heading back to our Airbnb. I’ve been here plenty of times and never an issue. Food has always been good and friendly service. Not this night! WOW Justin acts like this is a 5 star restaurant with assigned seating! Running around and telling people where to sit and where not to sit. There were only 2 tables being used when we got there. Nobody sitting at the bar and when we tried to set our witches hat on a bar stool next to us, he acted like it was a damn crime! Calm down JUSTIN, this is a dive bar not a 5 star restaurant!
I’ve visited Herman several times in the past and have always enjoyed it, but this experience was completely different. The bartender (long hair, not sure of his name) seemed irritable from the moment we walked in. He screamed at one customer to leave, then yelled at another group of guests who had simply moved a table slightly closer to their friends. His outbursts were loud, aggressive, and confusing for everyone in the restaurant.
The atmosphere quickly turned hostile, and we decided not to spend any more money there—just like several other guests who left after witnessing the same behavior. As someone who works in the service industry, I can’t imagine ever treating guests in this manner.
Very disappointing, especially since Herman has always been a place I’ve enjoyed visiting in the past.

Thought it was going to be a good dive bar but staff/service was lacking. Felt like the server was annoyed he actually had to work. Never checked back after bringing our food, never brought my wife’s salad or bill (guess you are supposed to know they don’t bring out checks and you have to pay at the bar). They only provide water bottles on the weekend instead of glasses of water, I guess 8 patrons is too many to keep dishes clean for. Just go buy gas station food and drink a bottle of wine in your room.

As there are not many places to eat after 8 pm on a Thursday night in Hermann, this place was a lifesaver! Sharps was recommended to us a a place to dine and is none for their food and they definitely did not disappoint. Food was excellent and served with a smile!
