Great BBQ meats & sauces. Have tried most menu offerings, never disappointed. Bit small & occasionally crowded, still fantastic!Had some Burnt Ends & some Mac&Cheese. Didn't even use any of the sauce! Everything was incredible!!

Most of the food was dry and burnt. The BBQ sauces went a long way to improve it, but you can't fix burnt. I agree that the mac and cheese side was very bland, again the bbq sauce fixed it. The sauces were good, but they weren't spicy considering their names. When we were able to catch our waitresses attention, she was pretty good. But she was often distracted by the tv behind us and got one of our orders wrong. A different waitress fixed the order. The decor was cool, but it was the only thing saving this visit.

This pace was a gem to find in Independence. We wanted to try something new and found this when we left the Truman Library. The food was great. The atmosphere is super fun and the service was fantastic. Trust me on this one....the bacon chips are worth every calorie.

Ordered by phone at opening (11 am) for noon pickup. Full slab of ribs. Meat was kind of hard on outside. Difficult to chew, but still good! Fish fillets were crispy and delicious. Beans were so tasty as usual. Also ordered smaller sides of cheesy corn and pea salad. They were both as tasty as always.Parking: Park in restaurant lot or across the street in empty lot.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid/family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs involved.

I got the rib special and it came with a generous portion of ribs. Unfortunately the ribs were devoid of smoke flavor but cooked well. The Mad House Wife sauce is respectable, it's a blend of sweet and savory. The potato salad is solid but the beans were a bit sweet for my liking and also devoid of smoke flavor. Not the best KC BBQ I've had and not the worst.

UPDATE. We came on Saturday 03/16/24 around 5:30, my husband and I ordered burn ends and three ribs, the ribs were very good, but I think they were the worst burn ends I have ever eaten, TOO SALTY!! !!! and you could see that they had been heating them in the microwave because the meat was not fresh, 20 dollars for each plate of burn ends to end up not eating them, this place is a box of surprises and you never know what you are going to get. I don't think we'll go backThe first time we came I didn't have a very good experience because the burn ends were half fat, half meat but my husband convinced me to give them another chance and we went back, this time it was different, it was much better, they have a side created by themselves mixing beans and corn, very delicious, the ribs are magnificent, I would like to try the other meats, the decoration of the place is quite cool

Awesome decor for a restaurant. I ordered burnt ends with fries and hot potato salad. Along with a side of 3 ribs. Burnt ends were good. Hot potato salad was awesome. The ribs were awesome. Service was okay. They were out of chicken wings and chicken legs at 4 pm on a Sunday. There were tables available.
