Don't know about taste, all I know is they seem unpredictable and unreliable. Based on other reviews and the fact that they did not show up for the Fooda Popup and my job. So I placed a pickup order as it showed they were here and they were not.

Horrible terrible experience waiter was entitled and very disrespectful, food was being delivered late and very cold , we even ordered bread and it was wet ...... never again

I ordered online when I got there my order wasn’t ready. When got home I opened the container and was shocked at how small the crab legs were it looked like little bits and pieces the shrimp was a two outta 10 the corn was old tasting the potatoes were ok nothing special it’s hard to screw up potatoes.I hope they improve because in time there business will Fail. Last note this was on Valentine Day 2025. Our original pickup time was 6:33pm they finally handed it to me at 8:10pm absolutely Not acceptable.

I took my wife there for Valentine Day which was our first date 28 days ago. Our experience was absolutely disappointing one young man was working, it took forever to be seated and there was no one else in the restaurant, at that time another couple came in and turned right back around and left the young man who waited on us mumbled when he talked and was slow on his feet to do anything-food was OVER COOKED AND EXTREMELY SALTY. The decor is a hodge pod the bar looked like a Kiki hut the tables look like black tie tables and the decorations from the ceiling looked like Japanese or Chinese restaurant decorations nothing made sense cheap silverware and to top it off the meal was $90. We will never recommend this place to anyone. It was a total disappointment. My wife and I rate Boss lady below -6 and have better food off of the food trucks in the hood. Save your time and money. Worst experience

We saw on Facebook and really wanted to try. It was worth the drive. Food and customer service were amazing. We would absolutely come back next time we are in the city and would recommend.

I’ve only been for the soul food week was a bust my noodles was dry and not cooked I sent back same result was not impressed

I had to get up and ask for napkins when appetizer came, food came and we had to go ask for utensils, no spoons rolled in the napkins and one order required a spoon, asked for one, bill came, I signed and there wasn’t a receipt

I saw a post on Instagram about Bosslady's and when I saw that they were participating in Kansas City restaurant week this year I figured I'd stop by. I had a cup of gumbo for my first course, the salt and pepper shrimp for my main entree and a slice of lemon cake for dessert. Everything was super flavorful with a nice texture. All the food was fresh and hot from the kitchen and the service was great. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because they were out of some of the food they were advertising on their restaurant week menu. I was really looking forward to the lobster bisque.

I was excited to try this restaurant and was very disappointed. Came here on a Friday afternoon and was hoping to do the happy hour and the waiter says Thursday only and there's a sign on the window that says happy hour daily from 2pm to 4pm.
The waiter also would not speak clearly, he had to babysit on the job.
My friend ordered water with her meal which he never gave her until we put our coats on to leave.
This place needs improvement on customer service.
The Mac and cheese was not mac'n.
Shrimp and grits with sausage for $20 should have been $5.00 for looks and taste.
"One way ticket to pound town" need to stop hyping these restaurants up, knowing dam well their recipes needs improvement.

Ate here once. It was totally mediocre. I tried to eat here the other day, was seated, was the only person there and waited 15 minutes before I finally walked out. The host stared at her phone while I waited and waited. I don't have that much time to waste at lunch.

As a recent patron of this establishment, I was highly disappointed with my experience as a whole. The food texture was uninviting, the aroma in the establishment was foul.

Short staffed and very busy with carryout orders. However the staff was delightful and attentive ❤️ 💙 💜. Certainly worth the wait we had. Fantastic food and honest drinks!! 😋 Nice tiki 🍸 🌴 bar. If you don't mind a bit of a wait, this is your run do not walk to seafood place!!
