The customer service is horrible. If you are black don't waste your time. I went in with a family and was treated horribly. The blonde man at the register never looked up and when we ordered he said we wouldn't like it. It was awkward and rude and I wish I had recorded it. I will not suggest anyone come to this location.

This location states it closes at 7pm on here. I drove to the mall and went in and there was a sign on the door stating ‘due to staffing issues the store would be closing at 5) mind you it was 4:40 at this point, the door was locked and the employee shook her head no at me. I called and asked why they weren’t open and the girl said her manager told her to close if there wasn’t any foot traffic..umm hello most people work until at least 4 or 5. I called the corporate office and they told me there were multiple employee on medical leave. That really has nothing to do with the customers and they might as well just close the whole location down. I will be taking my business elsewhere where they keep their doors open and don’t make excuses for the reasons they aren’t open.

In response to the last review, I would like to add some positivity. I have been a patron of this specific location for 20 years. I have always received the best of service and the coffee is devine! The staff always are helpful and kind and work as quickly as possible even with a line out of the door. Kindness and compassion go a long way and some would do well to remember that.

First time coming to a Gloria Jeans on the years. I came here for simply a fruit smoothie. I feel at this location, the menu is not as comprehensive. Staff here is friendly and business is quieter. Great quiet place to sit down and have peace away from everyone at the mall. Overall it's a solid location. It's definitely got pricey over the years.
We went to the location in Independence center and we had a “Free small beverage” and they said they didn’t have a Q-R scanner and couldn’t give me the drink. They guy didn’t even try. He just kept giving me the total.

I love Gloria Jeans and have gone to this location for years, but in the recent year there's always been one guy on staff that's very rude and unwelcoming. He's blonde and tall, and seems to get irritated with anyone who takes more than 2 seconds to order. When me and my Fiance walked in today, he was sat at one of the tables on his phone for 5 minutes until he decided to finally get up and asked what we wanted - very clearly annoyed. This is not the first experience I had with this man and I know it won't be the last.

My daughter and I ordered 2 coffees, one with almond milk. The gentleman behind the counter must have misunderstood because he gave us both almond milk coffees. No problem, he said he'd remake it, but he when he did, there was no coffee in it. Just milk and caramel syrup. I know it wasn't an accident because he was pretty rude the whole time and acted put out when we asked how to scan our cash app at the counter. Unfortunately, I didn't taste the coffee until I was out in the car or I would have asked for a refund. My daughter has been to Gloria Jean's several times and has never had trouble, but based on the service and quality of the coffee, it's my last.
