Great American Cookies

I needed a cake for a specific event (redneck brawl) and this store DELIVERED! Literally! They brought it to my house. AND I just told them what it was for and to do whatever they would like to do on it that was relevant. They looked up the event, and did the exact logo…. I’ve ordered many many cakes from this location and they have always exceeded my expectations. Thanks guys!!!

You buy 5 you get the 6th one FREE, however I said I’ll take 12. Dude with glasses working there said sorry we only got 8? Huh? This was a Friday around 1pm. You only got 8 total cookies for the night ? He said yes, yeah okay buddy. How about you do your job and make more! Horrendous! I couldn’t even order 12 cookies ??? lol Gluck .. whoever owns this place, you might want to check on your shop from time to time, you losing a ton of money!

This cookie place took me way back to when I was a young man. Love these cookies no lie. 11/10 from me. Get ya a cookie. Sugar cookie is my favorite.

Pleasant experience at this place! I walked in at around 11 AM to request a cookie cake to be made for our little one’s birthday party that day and was guaranteed to have it ready around 12:30 PM. I gave them the “theme” of the cookie cake and kindly let them know to “be creative and do what you believe is best”. I went to pick up the cookie cake and was very impressed! For those that are curious, this cookie cake tasted as good as it looked and had the kids at the birthday party asking for seconds! Aside from the cookie cake, the staff that I have encountered were all very friendly and really delivered their services from the start to the pickup. I’ll definitely be stopping by for more orders in the future. Thank you so much ??

The best cookies!

Cookies are goodThe ones with cream are not particularly tasty but my husband like it.I prefer the normal ones

I was at the Independence Center location last night (6.28.23) in the evening and was going to get my son and I some cookies until we noticed all the gnats flying around and sitting on the cookies in the case that did not have doors on it. When I pointed it out the worker she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off.

I went in knowing I was going to spend around $100. I had a meeting to go to and wanted to pick up some cookies. I asked for 3 dozens. The lady looked very annoyed and had a nasty look on her face. Asked me with an attitude you want 3 dozens? I kindly said yes to which she immediately looked like she didn’t like my response or her job. She then gave me a nasty stare and said you know that is going to be $60/$70? I told her yes and she still had an attitude and ugly look and proceeded to ask what kind I wanted. After I noticed how bothered she looked to help me I said never-mind. You lost my business after today and I LOVE your cookies!!

Love! Love! Love Great American Cookies! Cookies are always fresh and soft. I don't buy anywhere else. The staff are always friendly.

The cookies are amazing, as they've been from the beginning. My issue is the staff. Met one young lady who was VERY nice...wish I could remember her name. But the guy(Mgr) and the girl with the piercings leave a little to be desired in the way of interaction with the public. Very cut and dry...almost as if it's a bother to ask a question or take an order. Maybe they were having an off day.

Been ordering cookie cakes from here for over a decade. Grew up on Great American down in Texas and literally cried when I found one up here in KC. I was 6 months pregnant at the time so I immediately ordered one for my baby shower even though we already had cake and have ordered one at least annually ever since. They have gotten me thru many of my kid’s birthdays; cake was always on time, as requested, and fresh!That said .. Man Great American, you guys really need to switch locations and move out of Independence Center. If you can make any business moves, that would be the thing I would focus on. My kid’s birthday is coming up again, but I don’t even wanna have to go there to pick it up with the crime that happens at that mall all the time now. Your cookie cakes are usually great but they aren’t worth getting shot/robbed for. If you all moved to an area that was not on the News fairly often, I think a lot more people would go there and the reviews would be better.

This is a great example of a store that might go away if we all stop shopping there. They have a fee when you order over $5 (forcing you to break up transactions) and they don't accept secure credit card transactions, only swipe. There's no excuse for that in 2022.
