“What a place! Main Street Coffee, located right off the Square in Independence, is everything a true coffee shop should be — no gimmicks, no distractions, just great coffee and a welcoming space to relax, create, or connect. This spot has quickly become one of my favorite places to settle in and get some writing or work done. Their big, comfy booths are perfect for spreading out with a laptop, notebook, or a good book. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and productive — soft lighting, warm tones, and just enough background buzz to feel inspired. Now let’s talk about the coffee — it’s genuinely some of the best in the entire metro area. Rich, smooth, and expertly crafted, every cup feels like it’s made with real care. Whether you’re a fan of a bold espresso or a perfectly balanced latte, they never miss. One of the things I love most is their seasonal menu. It’s always creative, always delicious, and it keeps things exciting every time I visit. You can tell the team behind the bar is passionate about what they do — from the quality of the beans to the flavors they bring to life. Main Street Coffee is more than just a coffee shop — it’s a local treasure. If you’re anywhere near Independence, do yourself a favor and stop by. Whether you’re looking for your new favorite drink, a quiet place to work, or just a great cup of coffee, this is the place.“

“I sent my husband there to get me a smoothie so I could drink my veggies instead of eat them. Ever since I’ve been pregnant it’s been hard for me to eat anything except fruit. I thought they closed at 9 turns out on Sundays they close at 8. We both felt terrible but I really wanted it & he was determined. The guy was happy to take his order through the drive through. I’m not saying go there last minute by any means because obviously that’s rude but it was really nice to hear about good customer service. That rarely happens anymore these days. Wish we had his name because he deserves a raise!!“

“Awesome lady was very nice ! I’m a CFI truck driver delivering at Tractor Supply, it was very cold and I walk across the street to get a little coffee and breakfast! She did not hesitate getting me taken care of! God Bless! Oh by the way the food and coffee were excellent!“

“I recommend it for the snacks. Definitely not for the food. I went there today got a Torta Hawaiana there was literally 4 small pieces of meat on one side & for $12 I didnt feel like it was worth what I paid. I went there a week ago and the amount of meat was perfect. I don’t know if they’re getting new cooks or what but today wasn’t it.“

“Nirvana Coffee is truly a gem tucked away in the Englewood Arts District, right off Winner Road. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits you in the best way — cozy seating, great music, and just an all-around welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of place you want to hang out in for hours, whether you’re catching up with a friend or working on something creative. The staff here are always super friendly, which makes the experience even better. I ordered the Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte, and wow — it was delicious! If you’re someone who actually enjoys the flavor of coffee and espresso, this spot will be right up your alley. I’ve noticed their drinks tend to have a bright, vibrant taste with fruity or citrusy notes, which makes me think they might use a lighter roast (too shy to ask, though!). One of the coolest features? It’s also a game lounge! They have a fun collection of board games available, which adds to the cozy, community vibe. Whether you’re sipping a latte or challenging a friend to a game night, Nirvana Coffee creates a space that feels warm, inviting, and full of personality. Whether you’re just a short walk or drive away, it’s totally worth checking out. Great coffee, great people, and great vibes all around!“
