I’ve been to Mexico. I’ve been to Honduras. I’ve been to Puerto Rico. And none of these places hold a flippin’ candle to The Lunch Box. I asked for a water, and he gave me three. I’m already thinking about the next time I’ll get to taste his tamales. I’ll be seeing this drive thru cuisine in my dreams. I drove up a customer, but I left as a friend.
The older gentleman is the best. He took the time to walk us through the menu and was extremely helpful. Its authentic and not greasy at all. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.
Stopped last Friday just after 11:00, and no one was there. Stopped again today for dinner, and ordered the tamales with a beef tongue taco on the side. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing, either. The beans were canned and the rice was instant. Tamales weren't traditional corn husk tamales, and the masa to pork ratio was very favorably masa. The beef tongue was cooked to perfection, but the tortillas fell apart because they hadn't been grilled or toasted.I've...
