Can't go wrong with Sonic...but the prices have went up.
This is the second time in the past couple months that the drive thru was closed at midnight on a Friday. The first time they were short staffed and said they were backed up with online orders. The second time was tonight. The drive thru was closed cause their system was down. Told me I could order off the app and they would bring it out. I had just got off work and didn't want to mess with that.... Frustrating...
It’s unfortunate this place has such bad reviews, I was impressed compared to other Sonic’s I’ve been to! The food was piping hot when we got it. The only thing was that they forgot the sauces but that’s a classic sonic experience. I’d be back!

Sonic Drive-In serves burgers that have improved in quality, but tots may be a letdown. Orders can be inconsistent, with mistakes like missing toppings. However, this location is praised as the best in Independence, with food that is always cooked perfectly. The service is great, with staff who work hard and hustle for tips, bringing food out in record time. Customers appreciate the polite service at the window, noting that it feels genuine and is hard to find at other fast food places. The app has a $75 limit, making large family orders challenging, and service can be slow, even with adequate staffing. On the positive side, burgers and onion rings are consistently good, and shakes, although thinner, are still enjoyable. Drinks are generous but overpriced, making happy hour a better value. The restaurant also features wheelchair accessibility, with designated parking and ramps.
