I ate at Hunan with my brother on March 26, 2024. I had Crab Rangoon which was okay, hot and sour soup which was luke warm and neither hot nor sour and a spicy beef entree the waitress said could be prepared which was not spicy. My brother and I agreed we would not eat there a second time.

The food was excellent! But we were surprised with a 18%gratuity added to our bill when there was only two people in the party. They did have a sign up at the front stating the 18% would be added but we thought that was for a large group of people, the same as it is at other restaurants when you have a group of six or more dining in.

Had lunch here today. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. Beef green pepper and onion wasn't a favorite. The soups both egg drop and hot and spicy were good. The egg rolls were over cooked and hard to eat. I guess it bothers me that they also automatically add an 18% gratuity to the bill. It is what it is. Not many options in Jeff.

This place is a hidden gem in a not-so-fancy strip mall. I found the place while visiting the capital and looking for an authentic Chinese with good reviews. Once I arrived to the parking lot I almost changed my mind just by looking around. I am glad I did not! The food was delicious and the service was quick and efficient! The atmosphere was “almost” perfect for that true feel of being in an Asian restaurant. The background music really needs to match the place and decorations, urgently! There are a great selection of operas and soft Chinese music that will absolutely transform this little restaurant.

The chicken was mushy not crisp and the egg soup was very salty....and you automatically were billed 18 percent for tip. When paying with your card you had another option for another tip.....whats going on......
