Hunan Restaurant Reviews
I’ve eaten at hundreds of Asian restaurants from the Mississippi to the West Coast. This is definitely in the top three. Small, family owned and grate service.
good food! friendly staff!
Peeked in the door and left. Wasn't what we were looking for. So really can't rate it

The Hunan Restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring authentic and delicious Chinese dishes. Customers often praise the food, with highlights including the sesame chicken, crab Rangoon, and the unique Springfield-style cashew chicken. The egg drop soup is also recommended for its clean broth and good texture. While the service can sometimes be inconsistent, with some customers noting issues with the lady running the place lacking patience, the overall experience is generally positive.
The restaurant's atmosphere provides a genuine Asian dining experience, though some reviews mention that the dining area is a bit dark and could benefit from updated decor and lighting. Despite its location in a strip mall, many consider the Hunan Restaurant a hidden gem, especially for those seeking satisfying culinary dishes. The lunch specials are reasonably priced, but recent changes in pricing and gratuity policies have been noted. Overall, the Hunan Restaurant remains a spot worth visiting for specific dishes, even as it navigates local competition.
