The place is not anywhere close to being packed, there are plenty of staff, and it took 30 minutes before we could order and after an hour we still haven't gotten our food. No apologies for delays, service was absolute garbage. Last time I'm eating here. I get better service from untrained teenagers at fast food joints. Absolutely zero hustle.
They get zero on the food because I haven't gotten to taste it before I had to leave after an hour.
Do NOT come here if you only have an hour for lunch.
(I've worked in a restaurant in front end service, back end, and management for over a decade so I'm not speaking from ignorance.)

I forgot that when I went maybe 6 months or so ago I said I wouldn't come back. But then time went on, I forgot. My kids wanted to specifically go to applebees as a reward for doing good in school. so I agreed.
went on a Friday night. obviously had a new server. tried to give some grace. Not only did he take over 30 min just to put our order in- after multiple times coming back to our table asking what we wanted and other waitresses coming confirming our order.....I wanted the kids pizza meal with lemonade.
the two for $22+ we wanted the mozzarella sticks as appetizers. both myself and daughter wanted the 6oz serloins medium rare with mashed potatoes. I wanted the broccoli and cheese as my other side she wanted the mac and cheese with no bacon. i also wanted the shrimp and parm topping for my steak.
they kept coming asking our order bc they were confused.
during our waiting process I noticed the manager that night going to literally every table around us bc stuff was wrong. I HAD to tell the waiter the ppl next to us had been sitting there over 20 minutes without even getting their drink order taken. only then did those people get served.
food came out. mozz sticks were very salty and sauce was off. I barely choked down one of them and they're usually my fave.
my steak was Raw. not rare but purple RAW. cold. i had 2 bites before noticing but tasted disgusting like smoke like it was thrown on a dirty grill. my broccoli with cheese has a few pieces of shredded cheese on top (I was expecting like melted cheese) and tasted like straight pepper. I didn't get through a bite.
I ate one mozzarella stick, 2 bites of steak, my shrimp and parm they brought out ON THE SIDE was the best part of the whole meal. my daughters mac n cheese- no bacon, HAD bacon. her steak was also not good but seemed cooked properly.
We got there about 630pm and didn't leave until about 830pm. it took so long. also had to ask for silverware. it was gross and just horrible all around and I will never go back.
spent time speaking with the table behind me and they were equally as pissed and had also horrible tasting food and service. I know the table next to me had a bad experience as I had to bring attention to staff to serve them.
would've been better off going to outback or longhorn or Texas roadhouse and paying more. DO NOT recommend this place at all!

worst ever...we had to wait 20min for table ok no big deal....waiter had to take our drink orders twice ....it took an hour to get food and it wasnt even correct we didnt even bother saying anything because the wait for food was ridiculous we figured we wouldnt get food for another hour if we did... i sat without a drink for 30 min...pretty disappointing

Not many restaurants these days ask how you want your burger. I was amazed they asked. Wonderful serves and amazing food!! And the quesadilla burger the first time I ate one. And it was awesome

We were seated fairly quickly, took a few for our server to finally come over and there was only 1 other table that was seated when we were put in the section. We placed our order for drinks and appetizers and took another almost 8 minutes for just 2 fountain drinks to come back, when we placed food orders, took over 20 for the appetizer to come out finally and the chicken wings were gross. My husband finished his drink before the appetizer even came out and he placed the drink near the edge of the table just so it was visible and after our server came back with the side of sour cream that took another 5 minutes to get, he had to ask for a refill on his drink. Several of the people around us were discussing how the food was also not great.

We ate there last night. I didn’t like my drink that I ordered, but that’s just a preference, I am sure. However, my steak was cooked wrong, I sent it back and the next one was cooked correctly, but ZERO FLAVOR! No spices were used or anything. My mashed potatoes were absolutely terrible as well, and had a film over them like they had sat for a long time. We had looked forward to this meal as we don’t go out to eat much. It was such a disappointment!! We will not go back.
Literally had the worst server possible got our order wrong twice and then was extremely rude about it!! If you do go make sure your waitress isn’t jasmine!!
And food was like warm and disgusting!
