Tokyo Japanese Steak House Inc

Went to Japanese steak house in Joplin for dinner tonight, there was hair in my food and my chicken was raw!! When we told the workers not only were they extremely rude to me and my husband, but everyone at our entire table.
Our drinks were empty the entire time, and there was only one other table sat, so they weren’t busy!
They told us they would comp our meals after a different guest there told them their behavior was very inappropriate and once we went to walk out of the restaurant they followed us outside and told us we needed to pay for our food, after saying they would comp it just a couple minutes before!
We’ve ate here many times, and not had issues but this time was horrible and the worker was very rude and not helpful… and following us outside after saying they’d comp our meal was extremely disrespectful…

This restaurant seems like it has a 1980s theme to it and it's lost in time. The staff seemed friendly. However some of the staff that's cooking seems like they don't know what they're doing. The food is overrated and definitely not worth the price. If you want a nice experience and sit down I would recommend. But just for everyday eating no, not worth the price

8/15/25 @ 2:39 PM walked in with my daughter and literally waited 20 minutes for anyone to greet us or seat us and no one at all came out the sushi man looked at us and went on about his day no give us a minute someone will be with you 😂😂 what a joke. Turned around and went back home.

I had the Hawaiian 5-C (I believe that is what it was called), and it was great 👍. I will definitely be coming back soon.

I've been coming here for a long time. went today, and it was the first time I've ever not taken a to go box they have really minimized the amount of noodles and food you get. 43 dollars for a ribeye meal and an order of egg rolls. I mean, the steak is amazing, but I should have more noodles and rice than steak. This was the plate I got for the meal. The rice and noodles didn't even cover the plate. For those prices, you shouldn't be that stingy on rice and noodles. The server was good, and the chef was good. The seats in the back room are hard wood with no backing, so that room is a bit uncomfortable as well. It's not a bad place to eat, but don't expect to have a ton of food like most hibachi restaurants.

Food is always amazing! We had a really great chef for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was so attentive and moved quickly through her many tables. I will always love dining here!!

Now for lunch don't come with fried rice $2 up charge portions keep getting smaller what is most upsetting is the receipt they write at bottom the waitress and chef share tip ....hmmmmm so why am I paying high price for my food if its not already paying chef ....the owners must be keeping that profit and paying him mainly in tips also bathroom disgusting I used to love this place now its a nasty place notice in picture toilet paper roll looks hard like been there awhile let's you know how good they clean bathrooms

Really great place to eat. Service and good were excellent. Great portion size for the price and overall everything was perfect for a date night. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

We have been here several times and always have great things to say! The chef's are very friendly and skilled, waitresses are always checking drinks and dishes, and they give way more food than one person can eat! My picky eaters are always satisfied when we choose to go out here!

This is our regular hibachi stop. The staff are always friendly and you can count on good food and a clean restaurant. Both of us ate for $35 during lunch!
