I had been to this place about 2 years ago and I really loved the food, but this time the cook kind of burned our food and all of our food ended up tasting smokey, I definitely not like it, I definitely recommend that if you go to this place make sure and tell your cook to make sure he doesn't burn your food, other than that I guess it's a fine dining place

Was most outstanding atmosphere, service and food.

Not bad and not great. Our Hibachi Chef was non engaging and somewhat boring. Food was not flavorful.

Not the best tonight.... Cook was wearing a mask and was not very interactive... food was not very good.

Tokyo Japanese Steak House has some of the best service I've recieved. Their staff are friendly, and they make it a point to really put on a show when they prepare your food. I got the steak and scallops, and they were to die for. Their sushi is also phenomenal, and probably the best sushi in Joplin. If you're looking for a fun date night, this is 100% the place to go.

The experience was excellent. Talented hibachi chefs perform a flame touched artistic display that produces delicious food. The thoughtful decor paired with the fine dining experience is not one to miss. Aquariums inset into the walls, and cherry blossom branches used as light fixtures are just a few of the interior touches. The sushi options are equally elegant and flavorful. If you are in the area or just passing through, I highly recommend making a stop here for an amazing time.

The following is from the past three years but I need to update our experience today, on our annual New Years Day visit! Everything was excellent!! Our chefs I, feel, enjoyed our boys as much as we enjoyed their service! Our waitress was excellent as always!! Loved our visit today!!

We have been visiting this establishment for over14 years! Traditional every New Year’s Day with visits sprinkled throughout the year! The last two years have been heartbreaking! Basically sat and watched someone cook!! No interaction!! For a party of 6 adults and 6 little boys it was devastating as others were served with entertaining and enter active chefs!! I wasn’t the only one who noticed the boredom and sad meal! Another chef expressed his regret for our meal! Not sure where will continue our tradition this year? Not sure if a special request is required but our last visit was the worst!

I had a great experience last time I was there. Food is wonderful, the service is just as good, and it’s always really nice. I love the hibachi as well as the menu items.

Came in about 6:30pm (12/26/24) and waited fifteen to twenty minutes at a regular table without being checked on by a single waiter, even though there were several standing around. The person who I was with and I ended up going to Sakura where we had excellent service and food.

We loved the place! The food was yummy. (I recommend the jalapeño poppers!) they have yum yum sauce too!
We got sukiyaki. Loved the atmosphere and the service! :)

The food is always great and the staff is very friendly. Today we had Paul as our chef and he does a fantastic job cooking and interacting with the guest. Request him the next time you go in.

This is my favorite place to eat with my grandbabies. We have been coming for years now and they enjoy having Paul as the chef. He is so fun and his food is amazing. You have to ask for him!!!

This is my family’s absolute favorite place to eat!! We’ve been coming for years. Practically raised our kids here. Paul is the best cook. He makes sure everyone is taken care of and goes out of his way to create the ultimate experience. Our kids love him!
