Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. Incredible flavors. Every appetizer and entree we tried was superb and elevated in style. The cocktails were complex and interesting too.

I went for Sunday brunch and everything was spectacular. I shared the esquites, queso fundido, and ceviche, and for my entree I had the chilaquiles. For dessert, we shared the arroz con leche, and I would recommend everything on that list. Drinks were tasty and refreshing, and the service was excellent. 100% you should eat at this restaurant, Roman creates excellent dishes and takes his time to plate the food beautifully. You can tell he cares about his food, restaurant, and customers.
