Dined here last night between 8-9pm with my dad and my food was poisoned. Why ? Shrimp was undercooked and tasted microwaved. Here’s a photo of my throw up to prove it.

Stopped in to Heritage for some sushi this evening and wanted to say it was delicious 🍱 We sat at the bar which is so beautiful! The decor is amazing. I ordered the California roll and the sushi chef assured me it is gluten free. Our bartender John was so professional and helpful. I highly recommend Heritage for those of you looking for Chinese cuisine!

It was my favorite Asian kitchen place in KC and unfortunately my last experience was horrible . Food wasn’t good and they forgot half of my order .

We have been meeting our friends at Bo Lings for dinner on occassion for many years. Since the rebranding, the atmosphere is like a breath of fresh air.

One notable part of the overall vibe and atmosphere has been our server, Daniel. I think he has worked there long before we began becoming regulars because he has been our server for well over 10 years.

His commitment to service and friendliness has made him more like a friend than our server. We always enjoy our interactions with him and his service has always been the best and has kept us coming back for more.

I would say that Daniel is a huge part of the overall vibe of this restaurant and hope and recommend that others come and experience it themselves.

Thank you, Daniel, for continually making our experience at Heritage - Bo Lings a pleasant and memorable one!!!

-Brent and friends.

Have been going to Bo Ling’s for many years. Nothing has been lost by the rebranding as Heritage by Bo Ling’s. The interior refurbishment is a nice improvement. Booths are spacious & comfortable.

Always a terrific meal, especially their dim sum. The food is always fresh & flavorful. An exceptional number of choices that should satisfy anyone in your group.

Service is excellent without being intrusive. If you’re stopping in, ask for Daniel’s section. He has been working for Bo Ling’s for years & is very attentive. He’ll make sure you have an outstanding meal.

Don’t miss this great restaurant.

We were really confused about Heritage becoming the name of Bo Ling, but turns out it’s all the same so don’t let the new name scare you. Daniel was the best server and explained the changes in detail. I’m glad we didn’t leave. The food is phenomenal, staff is kind and helpful, atmosphere is still the gorgeous esthetic and we don’t want them to lose revenue out of fear of change. Come check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s an absolutely beautifully designed restaurant interior but the food just wasn’t good. We made a reservation but as the restaurant was almost empty, it wasn’t needed. I was craving dim sum for my birthday but everything we ordered was bland, mushy and just not fresh tasting. And to add insult to injury it was the most expensive dim sum I’ve ever had. I miss the dim sum of STL but if you can’t go there abc is much better tasting. Disappointing

The staff was nice and very helpful. The food in the other hand has ZERO flavor.

I hadn't been to Bo Ling's at the Plaza location for several years and hadn't realized that they had moved into the Skelly building. New owners have taken over and are changing the name and some of the menu. The name of the restaurant will now be Heritage, according to a delightful server Heritage.

Good location on the Plaza. We parked in a free lot and walked a short distance to the restaurant. There were eight of us sitting in a large booth. The restaurant was large, nicely furnished and decorated. It seemed to be well staffed. We were disappointed in the food, however. We saw a lot of brown sauce, both on the dishes that we ordered and on the dishes that were being wheeled past our booth in the aisle. The dish that we liked best was simply sauteed mixed vegetables in a light sauce.

Brought my family here to eat after reading good reviews. Everybody ordered and nobody wanted to eat anything. We literally left the restaurant with everything packed up and nobody really wanted to eat the leftovers. Every dish tasted the same: way too salty and absolutely nothing remarkable about any of it. We're used to the Chinese food in California, where it's actually good. Very disappointed in the quality of the food. Prices are also high.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Daniel during my recent visit to the restaurant. From the moment we were seated, Daniel’s presence was truly remarkable. He has a natural charisma that lights up the room and creates a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere.

What stood out most was his dedication and work ethic. Daniel’s attention to detail was impeccable—he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and ensured every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. His outspoken and friendly demeanor made us feel comfortable, as though we were being hosted by a close friend.

Daniel’s hospitality is unmatched; he combines professionalism with a genuine passion for service. His menu knowledge was impressive, and his recommendations were spot-on. It’s clear he takes great pride in his role, and his hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

If you’re lucky enough to have Daniel as your server, you’re in for an exceptional experience. He’s the kind of person who leaves a lasting positive impression, and I can’t wait to return for another meal served with his unparalleled dedication and charm!
