Being from South Buffalo, my expectations of Buffalo Pizza are high. They missed the mark, but it still was tasty. Not much service to rate. When I asked for a "box to go" , I was told, "They are by the door where you came in." You'd think the kid could have gone and got one for me. Maybe I'm asking too much. I know if I were in South Buffalo they would have gotten one for me, for sure!

Shared an 18" pizza with a friend. We were able to finish, but we're very full 😆. We did 2 of their specialty pizzas split down the middle: Le Royale (supreme) and Chicken Rancher (Chicken, ranch, bacon, jalapeño, tomato). Both were absolutely delicious!

Causal, fun, small bar with great pizza!

To me, Buffalo State is one of the better pizza restaurants in the area.

The service was phenomenal and the owner was super nice. We were starving so decided to order a plethora of single slices, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but it was fun to try all the different pizzas! 11/10

I think I’ve maybe written 4 reviews in my entire life. I’m not a review person. That being said, I just ate the chicken parm sandwich and literally teared up because it was so good. We have gotten pizza from buff state before and it is really good. Not break my no reviews rule good, but it’s my favorite pizza in Kansas City. HOWEVER, I have never had a sandwich that tastes as good as this sandwich. I am glad that I get to live in the same timeline as this sandwich. I don’t want to eat anything else ever again. Thank you Buffalo state for your beautiful gift of this chicken parm sandwich.

Visiting KC for work. Asked a local for a good pizza place and was recommended here. The pizza is really great! I got the Pesto Pete and I definitely recommend it! The staff was friendly and the wait time was fair. So is the price, especially for in-house made ingredients. The atmosphere is fine, but I just got my pizza to-go. Overall, a great pizza place! I might hit them up again before I fly back.

I am visiting from AZ and I will say this place was amazing! The food and service were exceptional. It was extremely busy on a Friday evening and the staff was keeping up with all of it and the food was perfect.

stopped in for midday snack after flying in the KC . I did just a slice. I like how they half bake cheese pizzas and then customize each slice to order. the slices are huge and while i was ok with the slice itself being sliced into squares my eastcoast pal found it unacceptable 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Fantastic pizza, we’re here at least every couple weeks. Just wish they weren’t as stingy with the ranch. Steep price for such a small amount.

We ate there with our family for lunch. I asked for lemon for my water, the server brought them to the table in his bare hand! Ordered two pizza's and one sandwich. The pizza came out in a timely manner. After 30 minutes we asked about the sandwich... 15 minutes later asked about it again, then they finely made it. So it takes 45 minute to make one sandwich and It was missing the cheese.

Loved this place for dinner! I had the calzone with pepperoni and Canadian bacon and it was so delicious. One of be best calzones I’ve had. Also tried the cheese sticks and they were very good. Their portions were also very large so good to share if you want to try multiple items. I also felt like they were not expensive at all. About $9 for the calzone and $0.95 per ingredient and like $8 for the cheese sticks even though everything was large portions. I liked the marinara sauce they give as well. The staff was so awesome and friendly and they I went they had live music. Plenty of seating too and I did not have to wait super long to order or get my food to go. They may get busy though so who knows! I highly enjoyed this meal and would definitely try it again if I come back to Kansas City. It was one of the best meals I had in my trip and the best value for sure. Wish I had more time to get some more! Awesome spot!

Parking: You may need to find a free parking lot or parallel park on the street somewhere

Kid-friendliness: Mostly a bar environment that sells (good) pizza. There are some arcade games including Galaga, Ms Pac Man and a pinball machine.

Local pizzeria with lots of options. The breadsticks/cheesesticks are large and oh-so-good! A pizza slice is large enough to be plenty for one person.

We appreciated that the music was not very loud so that we could have a conversation. Though, there is a stage, and it looked like a musician was setting up as we were leaving.

Outdoor seating is available.
A bar is available; however, if you’re looking for a cocktail, this isn't the place.
