“We happened upon this place, honestly. Because we needed to use the restroom but, we wanted to be good patrons and checked out the menu. Opted for the Jerk Chicken Bao Bun & Blackened Shrimp appetizers.
Oh my god!! I swear, they have the absolute BEST jerk chicken I've ever tasted. Perfectly grilled/smoked and flavorful and just the right spice, on a soft steamed bun. The blackened shrimp was also phenomenal with great char and served atop jerk sauce and tropical fruit to complement the heat & sweetness.
The gentleman who served us (our bill said his name was Jims D) what a great conversationalist. We talked about the history of the place and how they are working to get their liquor license (which is taking quite a bit of time with the city, btw). We were having about the food and he mentioned another dish they were cooking up, which included this amazing cheezy/garlicky mashed potatoes. Tasted like it had both regular & sweet potatoes. If we weren't already so full, we would've got some to go!!

The service was so very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere is quite creative and welcoming. Please give them your business!“

“The worst part about this place is the wait. We walked in and ordered curry chicken with rice and beans and a side of plantains and then an order of jerked chicken with the same sides. It had to take at least 40 mins. I personally thought the curry was On point. And the plantains were so sweet, they just hit perfect! Maybe it was perfect timing but this place was spot on tonight“

Boy were we surprised, not only was the customer service absolutely amazing (If you are going ask for Sarah) but the food blew us out of the water! Our absolute favorites were the fritters and the shrimp and grits! We also got a chance to talk to Jims the manager/owner and truly made us feel so welcome and like family! They take their customer feedback very seriously which made it much more of an amazing and enjoyable experience! All of the drinks we had were insane! We tried the old fashion and were absolutely SHOCKED that it was rum and not actually whiskey! They truly know what they are doing there! You will not be disappointed! We will be customers for life! As my husband says, stay curious. Came as customers, left as friends“
