We had the Lemon Chicken and St. Louis Style Chicken Fried Rice...AMAZING! The lady verified that we wanted the lemon chicken and asked if we wanted to switch to an orange chicken or honey chicken and I'm so thankful I continued on with the Lemon Chicken. Got the sauce on the side. The chicken was crispy and delicious and the sauce was exactly the light lemon taste I was hoping for! The crab rangoon and fried rice were also on point! We're only in town for a short visit, yet we'll be sure to visit this place again!

Literally did the complete opposite of my order then when I called to basically get it fix I was today I had to wait for another day to get it she wouldn’t take my name or number just said she’ll remember me but mind you we’re talking over the phone so how will you remember me. Just weird wouldn’t waste my money on this place

Best Chinese food that I have had in KC in the last 20 years! Absolutely perfect Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoon, a perfect start to delicious carry-out. Have ordered multiple times in the last year and every meal has been cooked to order. Two of our favorite entrees are Sesame Chicken and Vegetable Egg Foo Young. The chicken is tender and served in a sweet/savory sauce with choice of white or fried rice. The Vegetable Egg Foo Young is a combination of fresh veggies fried together and served with a gravy and choice of white or fried rice. Both are equally amazing and serve multiple people. The price point is comfortable and can usually get a couple of good meals out of an entree. Can honestly recommend China Star to everyone!

Food was okay, not that bad but not anywhere as close to the best I've had, service is really bad, I called ahead and ordered yet my food was still not ready by the time I got there, plus they only give you 2 soy sauce packets and then charge you 10 cents per packet, how stingy
