Been awhile since been back to BB'S. Used to be a monthly must stop back in tge day for the Blues a Q. Lindsay Shannon was the best!!New ownership and patio renovations wanted to go back to check it out. 3 headed out for lunch on a Thursday. WOW. 2 of us had The Daily Special Texas Sweet (Pulled Pork, Scimecas Italian Sausage, Onion Straws piked high on huge bun. 1 SIDE. Best pile of BBQ I’ve ever eaten. Period.
If you’re looking for a fancy, polished BBQ joint, look elsewhere. But if you want the most incredible, wood-fired BBQ in Kansas City, BB’s Lawnside is the place.
I ordered the Spicy Italian Smoked Sausage and the Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork platter. It was easily the best pile of BBQ I think I’ve ever had. The sausage was smoky with a fantastic spice level, and the pulled pork was perfectly tender.

We were in the area for a wedding last weekend and my husband’s coworker told us to make sure we ate here. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming which was a bonus! Coyote Bill was playing (excellent band!) and the food was beyond amazing! We will always make sure to come back when we are around!
