Today we ordered from here, and got a Mongolian chicken meal. The chicken came very dry, with little to no flavor. There was only a few pieces of chicken here and there, otherwise it was all onion. When we received the bag of our food, there was soy sauce packets spilt everywhere covering our containers and boxes of food. For close to a 40 dollar meal with delivery, I would expect a little better of a meal and to have a somewhat clean experience once handed the food.

So good!! I've been looking for a place that serves lo mein without veggies in it (I don't like cabbage) and this place did not disappoint! The general tso's tofu was delicious, and the crab rangoon is amazing! China Star is definitely my new go to Chinese place!

I've had takeout and lunched here a few times. The food is generally well prepared. One time I had the seafood combo to-go and found some unappetizing non-deveined shrimp, but the rest was fine. It's not gourmet but a more-worldly friend who joined me said he'd also rate it good. The service in my limited experience was abrupt, meaning it's not useful to try discussing options when ordering unless you're fluent in Chinese (I'm not). I presume that's because at meal times they're busy with other ppl waiting to order, even though I typically arrive in mid-afternoon to avoid any crowds. The ambiance is clean but it's not fancy or big on design. Basic and maybe a tad disorganized but not unpleasant. I was ambivalent about the behavior of other guests who ranged from angry-looking people doing laundry nearby to others like me dropping in for a quick tasty meal, not so angry. It's so close to home I'm becoming a regular. Not a place to impress a new romantic partner perhaps, but not bad. So 3 1/2 stars rounds up to 4.

I've eaten a lot of fried rice, and I think the best one is still theirs, I really like their fried rice!
