What a disappointment! And an expensive one at that. The room is tiny--why didn't I just get a room at Motel 6?-- and the noise from the airport is hard to take. We got stuck with a room near the elevator, too, which the desk clerk said was not noisy: it is PLENTY noisy. Lousy room service too--like, nonexistent except for breakfast, what's up with that at a large "fancy" downtown hotel? Never again! I see now why I generally avoid Mariott. Americans certainly are being expected to accept substandard accommodations at highly inflated prices.

I stayed here in October for a conference for a few nights. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The room was cleaned and smelled good. The employees were professional and polite. I loved that my bed was made every day while I was away at the conference. The only complaint I would have is that the food options are pricey! It was raining and cold for much of my visit so the options close enough to walk with no umbrella were slim! As a result, we had to eat at the Bar Central restaurant located in their lobby a couple of times. The food was nothing more special than an Applebee's for much more money. I understand that hotels always charge more (especially ones in a downtown area), but still, it's Kansas City, not New York. Again, I was overall pleased with my visit! I doubt I will ever return as I was only there for a conference, but I am glad my stay was better than I have had at other places!

Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to watch a sports game in the bar area and up to date rooms with comfortable beds.

Had a wonderful stay here last weekend. Comfortable room, awesome bed, I asked for extra pillows and blankets and they were there almost before I was in my room. They have bottles of water at check in. Marriott has won my loyalty

A great stay...until I had to leave to catch a plane and left without getting a room folio. Since then, it's been a nightmare trying to get one. The online folio request has been unresponsive and I have tried calling and have gotten a busy signal both times. (Who in this day and age gets a busy signal?) Anyway, enjoyed the bar area and the hotel location, but our secretary is asking for a folio I can't get no matter how hard I try. If I'd only known....

We have always expected top notch and consistent service from Marriott but, we were very disappointed. The restaurant made a reservation for us at 11:00 am but were told when we arrived that they actually close down at 11:00. No help at the front desk with validating our parking ticket. We will be finding a new spot for our pre-theater brunch.

Absolutely abysmal on every conceivable level. My window wasn't sealed properly and my room was literally flooding. Maintenance came by and put down a towel saying they weren't going to do anything else. Had to waste an hour arguing that no this wasn't a habitable room before finally getting moved. In a haste to not miss my dinner reservations, I left my phone charger in the room. Called three times and waited over an hour and a half for them to go check the old room, only for them to tell me that they forgot to go up there and by the time I finally followed up housekeeping and left for the night. Not a care in the world about wrecking my entire stay. Save your money and time and book literally anywhere else

I had a great stay here and I can say with confidence that this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in! Everyone who worked there that we came across we had a good experience with. The bartenders were super friendly although be aware that drinks and food are super pricey here if you're popping in for that. Room was so cool; it was clean and spacious and modern. Shower was big and bed was comfortable. Would stay again for sure and will be my go to when I'm staying in KC!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The room was large, bed was comfortable, view was amazing, bathroom was beautiful, and had amazing access to all of the downtown amenities. The parking garage is a little tight but would definitely stay again!

Luisa was our server and she was absolutely amazing! We had breakfast two days in a row and she remembered our drink orders on day two. She was so kind and sweet! We really enjoyed our breakfast experience because of her!

Not really sure how they expect you to sleep comfortably when you have a reservation for a 2 bed queen room and they give you a room with one bed for 4 people. Slow front desk workers didn't help.

Great service and the bartenders were wonderful. Andrew made the best espresso martini I have ever had and was super talkative and made the experience wonderful ! cheers to a beautiful and clean hotel as well.

Yelp your price is high! Yelp you looking fancy! Yelp you got the big bar in yo lobby. Yelp you got the big TV's , too. Yelp, you done took us back to an elevator man! Yelp you SUPER BUSY, folks everywhere. Yelp, you got the digital keypad with an elevator that zips me straight up to the 19th floor! I gets to my coveted room, front desk man so nice, sorry I forgot your name. But, the View up here is Amazing! We walk in this room and You still gots trash on the floor?! Then, there are no toiletries in the bathroom?! And, the trash bag is hanging over the can for me to place it inside?! Marriott, I'm embarrassed for you. You trying to be so upscale, but the little idiosyncrasies are making you look more like a motel. Will I stay again, Yelp!
