2 things that slightly annoyed me about this place is that they only accept online orders, even though you can talk to them right through the window (I understand it from an efficiency perspective but the customer convenience is meh). They can't make your burger as a non-smash burger (no they don't burn it to a crisp or over charr it, but we were looking for a thicker style burger). Overall the taste was good, atmosphere was fun, but price/value was a little more expensive than whataburger. Things to do in this place include : 2 video game consoles, 1 shuffleboard table (non-regulation size), bar with drinks, and cushy furniture to relax on.But this review is solely reflective of my opinion of the food & service quality, quantity, and value.

Hands down the best burger and tots in KC. It is a no frills smash burger restaurant. Extra cheese and bacon. Done to perfection. Cosmo Burger does two things, burgers and tater tots and I would be hard pressed to name a place that does either better in KC.

First time trying Cosmo!! It’s hard trying burger spots in KC simply bc we have so many good ones! A friend of mine told me about it, and I didn’t hesitate after he explained how good it was. I am very impressed and pleased with the flavor of not only the burger, but the melted cheese and burger sauce! Yes it’s a simple sauce, but goes amazing with the burger! Will be back, thank you Cosmo Burger!!

I absolutely LOVE Cosmo Burger. It’s the quintessential Smashburger. Always consistent, and don’t sleep on those tots, either… Easily, my favorite burger in Kansas City. 10/10. One of the managers, Joe, who was working was super personable and helpful. Love this spot!

INTENTIONALLY GO HERE, OR FEEL LUCKY TO STUMBLE ACROSS IT!As I was just passing through Kansas City for work, I was craving a burger (as I do most days) so I did a quick Google search for top-rated smash burgers in KC. Cosmo Burgers came up multiple times so I decided I had to see what the fuss was about.Cosmo is actually inside of another establishment called Dodson's Bar & Commons. It had that friendly feel/vibe that a dive bar would have, but the drinks were proper and tasty. I had their margarita and my favorite cocktail - a sazerac - as well.Now, onward to the reason for this review. I had the double burger with no changes nor add-ons, and I had to order some tots, too. This smash burger was the perfect compliment to the bar, and definitely ranks as a quality smash burger. If I hadn't gotten carried away talking to some friendly strangers seated at the bar next to me I was going to order another one! Sadly for me they'd already stopped accepting orders. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ oh well, that just means I need to come back.** fyi, they only accept orders made online; not a big deal, they have a QR code next to the pick-up windowVegetarian options: they have a vegetarian burger on their menu.

I would do anything for the peanut butter burger to be available at all times (please) but this place is the real deal always, no matter what! The drinks and staff at Dodsons never disappoint either!
