No birthday is complete without cupcakes from Cupcake A La Mode. They have fun monthly flavors, but the regular selection is delicious as well. I have ordered them for events and always get compliments. I've even special ordered birthday cakes. Favorites include the French Vanilla, Strawberries and Cream, and ChocoLatte (that one has a chocolate covered espresso bean on top). I like that you can special order how they are decorated to fit your needs.

My family’s favorites are the Amaretto Sweet, Gold Digger and Nutella Bella! Cupcake A La Mode also makes extraordinarily scrumptious traditional layer cakes. I can’t wait to get my next cupcake!

Cupcake À La Mode on the Kansas City Plaza is simply the best. I’ve been getting cupcakes from here for over 10 years, and the quality, flavor, and service have been consistently amazing every single time. The cupcakes are always fresh, beautifully decorated, and absolutely delicious with so many great flavor options to choose from.

Really disappointed by today's visit. I used to love this place because of the from-scratch taste. I immediately smelled the from-the-box chemical smell when I got in the car, and definitely tasted it. Unfortunately, I believe I'll have to find a new cake shop.

Up late thinking about their amaretto cupcake and figured I’d give them a review
Stopped at the plaza location today and was disappointed. The display cupcakes had seen better days. Ordered one cupcake and left store before opening box. The icing was messy, warm, and had partially slid off the top of cake. The cake itself seemed slightly underbaked. Overall was not worth the $5.50 I paid. I’ve been to this location many times over the years. This time it felt like the shop was neglected and product quality was just not there.

I ordered a cake from here recently and was very disappointed. I’ve ordered cakes from here for years and have never had one this ugly and so far from the picture I sent it was unbelievable, it was supposed to say 21 years later…. Instead I got this mess. Not to mention this was the most expensive cake I’ve bought so far. I do not recommend to anyone
They were rude and didn’t give me the right cupcake. Took too long. Cupcakes were nothing special. Regret going here.

First time trying this shop, we got two cupcakes to go and carefully carried them back to our hotel room. When we opened the box the icing on one of the cupcakes had melted off and it was a giant mess. Not sure if they may have iced a slightly warm cupcake? $12 for two cupcake raises my standards and I would expect better. They did taste fresh though!

Stopped by today to get a cupcake because my mom used to bring me cupcakes from here and they were amazing! These cupcakes have taken a turn for the worst.. extremely dry cake batter with a sponge texture. Also, the lady at the front desk should work on customer service skills.

I ordered gluten-free cupcakes with dairy-free topping... And they were beyond delicious!! Their regular cupcakes are also amazing!! Also, there was a miscommunication with my order, and the sweet lady working made sure the order was prepared (even stayed a little late!) and went the extra mile to ensure my friend had cupcakes for her birthday, which is her first with dietary restrictions. Customer service was A++++
