I met Emilie that was pleasant in inviting me in & as I got a tour I met another fellow acupuncturist that I’d been planning to introduce myself to. Then another dear long lost colleague came in & we enjoyed a green tea that took a sun bath with roses & array of other floral notes I can’t rename them all but oh so divine. The atmosphere was like you stepped into a timeless place when you can truly unwind sit back and enjoy the best tea from anywhere around! This is top notch!

Emilie’s French Teas is a jewel hidden on busy Wornall Road - and I encourage you not to let its location keep you from visiting! Once you are inside (they have parking adjacent to the front door), you have left Missouri and been transported to Europe where you will thoroughly enjoy a perfect cup or pot of French tea. Don’t limit yourself to the tea. Try one of their flaky, perfectly created pastries! ❤️ Take your laptop if you need a break from working at home or meet a friend. Emilie or Katie will take great care of you, and you will leave feeling more refreshed than you can imagine! This is now my go-to place for a refresher…. I leave there feeling so light and happy.

One day, I hope to be as knowledgeable and passionate about anything as Emilie is about tea! We had a private tea class and she was wonderful. Whether you are knowledgeable or a novice, her classes are well worth the money.

What is unique about Emily's is that you can actually sit down with a cup of tea and pastry and visit with friends or just have a bit of quiet time. The tea is delicious. The services fabulous. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. It's a lovely little corner of the world. The last time I was there Emilie told me about a lovely Japanese green tea, Tamaryokucha, that she thought I would like. I had a cup and then I bought an ounce to enjoy at home. It's delicious. I will definitely going back for again and again!

Emilie’s is such a special gem. Alix and Emilie make the experience so wonderful with their knowledge and of course the selection of teas! There is something for everyone interested in teas and I suspect they have converted a few because their teas are marvelous. Be sure to have a croissant which they bake in house. So delicious. Can’t wait to return!

A very relaxing and pleasant tea room. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Be sure to order your baked goods knowing that it will be 20ish mins because they are made fresh!

Had no idea this place existed and that it was so close to me! I found out about it via an old [I think Emilie said February 2023?] news story from KCTV 5 that was rebroadcast today. I went for the sauna (Centered Spirit part of things) and tea experience. I was not sure what to expect, since I had never been in an infrared sauna, so I went for the 30 minute package. I am so glad I did! My experience from the moment I entered was perfect. A small building from the outside perhaps and you might almost drive right by if you're unfamiliar with the neighborhood (yep, me), but it's a lovely space for tea! They offer private tea parties, which I did not inquire further, as well as other holistic experiences too. You may also purchase their teas too--what a bonus, as I really liked mine! The sauna was set to 167°F--hot right? But it was oddly comforting. Sure I roasted, and sweat like a maniac on the floor, [one of the points--to detoxify] but it was like a deep tissue massage, only without the massage. By all means, drink plenty of water throughout the day and perhaps add electrolytes afterwards? You are given complete privacy to disrobe as much as you feel comfortable--keep in mind, you will be sweaty, but they do give you a sarong-type towel wrap and another small towel for use as a pillow or support and/or wiping the sweat from your face.As it was after 4:00 p.m., I opted for the Nuit D'Été tea. Very tasty. The service I received from both Emilie and Alex were wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I can see me heading back, especially when it's colder or when I need to relax my muscles a bit more. Perfect way to end my day.

I heard about this place from a friend and wanted to check it out. This place is a hidden gem! If you like tea, you should definitely check this place out. There is really something for everyone. I enjoyed our whole experience! Emilie offers fresh baked pastries, and when I say fresh, they bake them to order and it comes out HOT! (Chocolate croissant, yum!) You are not rushed, and can enjoy a quiet space to sit, read, work or visit. You are free to walk around to smell all the different kinds of teas they have to offer. I would like to visit again, and maybe attend a class to learn about the different teas! They also offer massage and other services, but we didn't schedule any appointments for that this time. If you have a few minutes to relax, and want to try something different, I'd highly recommend checking this place out! Emilie was a great hostess, educator, and waitress!! I'm also including a picture of our favorite flavor from today!

Emilie's Tea Room is a lovely place to spend a relaxing afternoon with a friend, a fragrant cup of tea and a scrumptious fresh-baked pastry. Emilie, owner and hostess, was as delightful as her tea room, making us feel welcome and sharing her knowledge of teas with us. I look forward to my next visit.

We booked a private event here for my girlfriends birthday and everyone had a great time. Emilie is so kind and helpful explaining the different options to us tea novices. And the pastries were so delicious and will prepared. We will certainly be back soon!
