Burnt ends sandwich is amazing. Service was beyond excellent! The ladies there are 8/5 stars. Only downside is it’s really echoey so it’s hard to have a conversation without feeling like you’re yelling.
This is EASILY the best barbeque I've ever had. I don't think Gates can make bad food. Every single piece of meat in the box was immaculately seasoned, the pickled onions and pickles were DELICIOUS, abd the bread at the bottom sealed the deal for me. Since it was my first time, the staff helped me tremendously while ordering, and gave us extra sauce for the food. EVERY time I'm in KC, I will be eating here. Edit 8-7-2024 Went to the location on Emanuel Clever Boulevard and the difference between this location and the State Line location is night and day. Nicer restaurant, friendlier people and the quality of the food is considerably better than the Leawood location. I would recommend the ham nooner.
