The food was amazing. We started with the bread basket, which came with 4 types of bread. We also had tomato soup as an appetizer special that wasn't on the menu. Then we got the Monday special Jägerschnitzel & it was delicious. The service was great, friendly, fast & efficient but also not rushed. Would definitely recommend for a date night. The ambiance was perfect!
The whole experience of dining at Grünauer is calm, excellent service and great food. Having spent time in Germany and Austria we were impressed with the way in which they made everything authentic and tasty. This was probably our third or fourth visit to this restaurant and I'm sure it won't be the last - even though we traveled from St. Louis to eat there.
When visiting KC for a conference, I found this restaurant and had my heart set on a visit having just visited Germany & Austria this year. Since I was visiting alone without a reservation I was offered a first come first served seat at the bar at 5pm on a Saturday- which I personally love when solo instead of a table. \n\nService: the staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and truly respect each other.
