I come here for the doughnuts! Dounut Diary Entry # (who knows what) - HITIDES Coffee Since I'm not a caffeine connoisseur, I can only judge this place on its doughnuts, and they are by far something to brag about. These fluffy yeast doughnuts are only offered in a few flavors, and each one has an island flair. The citrus notes really shine through on each doughnuy variety and the love the zingy punch of the glazes. Noteworthy and unique HITIDES offers a little taste of the beach life in a landlocked town. All that's left to say is kowabunga! Hang ten and definitely stop by HITIDES if you're out and about in the Crossroads area and looking for a tropical treat!

One of my favorite places in Kansas City. It's such a cute café with a tropical island atmosphere, filled with Hawaiian decor and plants. It's a cute and peaceful oasis in the Crossroads. Everything on their menu is delicious and I love going there, especially as someone who doesn't drink coffee, they have plenty of other drink options from teas and juices. Their acai bowls are the best I've had in Kansas City and maybe anywhere. I also love other bagels, and sweet treats like donuts. Their staff is so kind and welcoming and have really cultivated a wonderful community there.

Okay, the vibe in this place is so cool. It's like a California/Hawaii fusion and the food was so yummy. I hear they have pretty good matcha lattes, I'll have to try that out next. Loved it

Only one person working when I went. She was great but they were super backed up on orders and took over 30 mins for me to get a latte... I wish she would've told me up front about the wait. Atmosphere is cool but the chairs are a bit uncomfortable.

Awesome tiki vibes. Unique pastries and fusion drinks w lots of passionfruit and macadamia. Beautiful space to study as well.

Update: for visit 1/18/2024 Had a previous issue with cold egg bites after waiting 20 minutes. When I spoke with the barista on my next visit this week, he handed me a card. After leaving I read the card and it was for a Dole Whip. Seriously, 2 orders of cold inedible egg bites and ruined lunch and I am handed a card for Dole Whip. An item I have never ordered nor will I because I do not eat sugar. SMH. Very disappointed.Love these people and their coffee!!!!

I'm on a quest this year to try 12 new coffee shops around KC and beyond. My first stop is HITIDES. This was a great place to meet friends on this cold January day. The decorations, the music and all the plants made me want to be sitting on a beach in Hawaii sipping on a Mai Tai I went with the never fail Cortado and a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. My friend ordered the Hawaii bread and it was delicious. Everything on the menu looked delicious and I can't wait to come back and try it.
