This hotel is always too small, overpriced, and just crappy. Boutique hotel is short for POS. Never pleased with the ratings it gets automatically bumped to because it is in downtown. This is a 3 star hotel all day, maybe a 2.5 star. Never ever a 4 star. I visited longer ago than april 2020.

I worked at this hotel for 5 years. I loved everything about it, the staff was amazing. Left it due to COVID-19

Black travelers beware!! This hotel randomly applies charges for smoking. When you ask for evidence, you will either get ignored or be given the run- around. The chain has a history of this practice and many examples can be found by searching Google.

My family stayed at this Hotel for a convention. The employees were all very professional, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant had a great breakfast, and the employees there were very nice and attentive also. It is hard to beat this location in the downtown area. It is also a close walk from the KC Streetcar and the power and light district. You can walk from the hotel to the convention center in and underground walkway. The rooms were clean, and well maintained, with the very minor cosmetic issues you would expect in an older hotel. The wifi worked well. The mgmt at this place has definitely trained the employees on service. I would go back with my family any time.

Nice rooms in walking distance to the convention center. The hotel was built in 1925. The rooms have been renovated (obviously).

Very unique place, you can just imagine the roaring '20s in there. Love the architecture and the originality of the place. We loved everything about it...valet parking that is well worth the few extra dollars, champagne in the lobby at checkin, extremely helpful desk clerks, great housekeeping dept and a restaurant that is amazing! The menu prices may shock you at first if you are looking for a fast, cheap meal, but realize you have an actual chef cooking for you and the meal you get is very filling and cooked to perfection. My husband and son would highly recommend the 24 oz pork chop....I'm sorry I forgot our waiter's name but he was so interesting. Loved the music that was on and I think he did too...lol...

I was staying here with my dance team, a group of high school girls. The Staff and view was nice however, the room was small, there was mold in the bathroom, stains on the bed and walls, and there was a man who came by and tried to open every door on our floor. We were terrified and felt unsafe, but the staff was helpful. I will not be staying here anytime soon. extremely disappointed.

Great location...always clean...but today it was COMPLETELY under staffed....no help at breakfast for two servers and no help at the front desk this afternoon as the Chiefs Parade was ending...lost valet keys. Lost luggage. Please staff accordingly.

Clean though dated. Room was smaller than expected. Their website talked about complimentary glass of champagne-none received. Also was indicated on website that there would be bathrobes in room-there were none. Was very convenient to venue and valet parking though expensive was convenient. Excellent staff and very good restaurant.

Boutique hotel in downtown KC. It is in a narrow building which adds to it's uniqueness. A workout room and piano bar on the second floor. The room was nicely appointed, the bathroom partially updated. Paid parking across the street, or valet available.

The hotel experience was not at all what I expected.. the pictures on the website are deceiving... the rooms are very small.... and my experience with stained mattresses and dirty splattered stained walls was grossly disturbing... However Hashka the hostess and the restaurant was so nice and personable... I did go to staff about the mattress and they did replace it and took off the first night.... when renovations take place in a hotel... you remove all stained mattresses and wipe down walls or replace wallpaper....

Great hotel. Snuggled in the kc city strip. It's right next to some great bars, clubs and restaurants. All within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel had a great staff and the room was clean. Perfect for a weekend out with friends.

Great location for exploring downtown and Power and Light District. Nothing fancy, and the room and bathroom are on the smaller side, but it was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would stay here again!
