“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I ordered the egg rolls with sweet chili sauce (a special). Today I had all the time in the world to wait, and honestly didn’t even notice how long the food was taking. The chef came out to personally talk to me and explain the situation and that they were working to make a fresh batch of egg rolls and it would be a while. The amount of care and dedication he put into his food and service is incredible! He even delivered the egg rolls himself once they were done. And on top of his incredible service, the waitress working today was attentive and very kind! If I didn’t live out of town I would be here every day. Thank you Chef Peter and the rest of the staff, for making my lunch exceptional!“
“My experience at O'Dowds was no joke THE BEST restaurant experience I have had in MONTHS. It was just the right vibe, noisy but not too loud, and it was busy, but we got seats immediately. Right when we came in, we were greeted and when we found a seat, a waiter came over really fast. We all got our drinks and ordered, and the food came faster than some restaurants that I've gone to that have almost nobody inside. I got the Pub Nachos without jalapeños and with shredded chicken, as you can see in the picture. Oh. My. Goodness. AMAZING. I would recommend sharing with someone, because even with everybody at my table eating at them the whole time, I could barely finish them. I also tried one of their burgers, and it was also AMAZING. “This is a pretty special bar. You immediately know you're a stranger amongst regulars during your first visit, but everyone is there to mind their own business and have a good time. The bar is female owned and ran, all the bartenders I've met so far are great. They have decently priced drinks, good cheap chinese food next door and plenty of tables and bar space. I can't really put my finger on why it feels so different than many of the bars I've gone to, but it's like a nice, comfortable dive/sports bar/pub feel and they don't tolerate nonsense so I always feel safe there when I'm there on my own as a woman. Good people all around who know how to make good drinks.“
“1st time. We went for fish & chips but great menu options. Fish & fries were terrific. Fish was crispy and flavorful, loved it! Staff great and owners actively involved. Smaller cozy place but enjoyed our bar spot. Cool place that was a bit cold for us with fan on high and windows opened, but will be back soon!“
“Family was looking for a place to eat while visiting KC, unique place for us. Menu was limited due to St. Patrick's day which was unfortunate because the pics online looked really good. That being said the food was really good. Even better though was the staff, very friendly and attentive, had 4 or 5 different employees ask how the food was and make sure we didn't need anything.“
