Jack Stack Barbecue - Plaza

The burnt end queso was great. My wife liked her meal a lot. Mine was just so so. Beans were cold and tasted weird. Not like I've had here before. Sandwich was just okay. Nothing spectacular. But $18 for a so so sandwich and cold beans is far too much. The service was excellent though. Attentive.

Always a fun place to gather for great food and service. So hard to decide what to order, everything on the menu is a winner.

Food, service & atmosphere was amazing. Our server was the best ever. We were at another location without a reservation and told 2 hour wait. We ended up being lucky and finding this location and snagging a reservation for 30 min later.

The location on Wyandotte in the Plaza is a good restaurant but lately the beef ribs are not fresh and very small for $30.00. I went on Saturday and Tuesday in the first week of November 2025 and both times the beef ribs were dry and not fresh. Jack Stacks for the price of the meals you should serve fresh food. Hopefully they will improve the freshness before I visit again. Please also tell the waitress and managers to stop rushing people out of the restaurant that’s bad business also. One of the managers offered me and my date carrot cupcakes to give up our seat that happened months ago. Bad business.

Great BBQ where you can dress up or down and feel comfortable. Food was delicious and staff was kind.

Anthony our waiter was awesome. My wife had the blackberry salmon and loved it. I had Jacks Best and every single item were fantastic.

my friend and I came in for a short girls trip to Kansas City and the only thing that we had planned was lunch at Jack Stack barbecue in the plaza. We had lunch and a cocktail, both were delicious. We did not feel rushed. 

Needed my fix of KC BBQ during my visit to KC and I needed my Husband to understand what all the fuss is about! 🤤 Last nights dinner accomplished both goals in one full swoop and was super close to our hotel Everything was great

It wasn't a place for us and won't return. Not to say it isn't good for others. We thought the jalapeño corn bread, loaded baked potato and baked beans were good. The baby back ribs were too salty, the brisket had no flavor without the sauce and the same goes for the sausage. We have found other establishments to better.

This is a more upscale barbecue place, with delicious food and excellent service. The onion ring tower is a great way to start and the cheesy corn bake is a must-try side. The ribs, burnt ends, and pork were all delicious.

Come into town once a year, made a reservation months ago, get there on time have to wait to be seated for 20 minutes. Server was new, food took an hour and it was wrong and cold. Disappointing experience. Will find somewhere new next year.

Great location and area. Great service and lots of choices.my sandwich with sausage, brisket and onion ring was fantastic. Also the ribs are great. I also really liked the jalapeño cornbread.

I went to jack stacks a few weeks ago ordered carryout, I am also server at a local restaurant and had a very busy day so I didn't feel like cooking was emotionally drained as well from busy chaotic day, drove 20 min home and go to get our food out and the main course was not there, you talking about disappointment! So I called Jacks stacks explained my dilemma was placed on hold then ELI got on the phone apologized and 30 minutes later he arrived at my house with my food! Thats the best service I have ever heard offered and I been In Restaurant for over 35 years. THANKS ELI YOU SAVED THE DAY!! THAT WAS GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!!
