John's Big Deck offers great service and a welcoming atmosphere, with a friendly staff and comfortable seating both indoors and on the deck. The food is incredible, featuring popular menu items like the pork tenderloin sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, nachos with steak, carnitas, or brisket, and steak quesadillas. The curly fries are crispy and satisfying, while the big deck sliders are also a favorite. The rooftop area has amazing views, perfect for hanging out and enjoying the downtown KC scenery. However, there may still be an unpleasant smell in some areas. Drinks are reasonably priced, with daily specials and generous pours from the friendly bartenders. The restaurant has a lively yet chill atmosphere, especially during Chiefs games and dance parties on the second floor. With live music on the first floor and a vibe that keeps the fun going, John's Big Deck is definitely a worthwhile return visit for a night out.
