I spent the last 8 months being away from home which is Texas. a little over a month into it, I found Los Alamos Cocina. they have the best Mexican food in the Kansas City area. it was such a comfort for me to have a taste of home away from home. I ate there every Saturday morning from the time I discovered it to the time I left. the owner and the staff are very awesome down the Earth humble people! I'm going to miss eating there and my interactions with El Jefe and Benito...
Went to Los Alamos Cocina with a friend and tried the barbacoa plate. The meat was cooked perfectly and had great seasoning. I also had a margarita and it paired really well with the meal. Service was quick and the staff was welcoming. Overall a solid place for Mexican food in Kansas City.
Wow. What an experience. Have some friends in town and they wanted a proper Mexican restaurant. We found this one randomly and it did not disappoint! The food was great! Service was even better!
