Sat down, no ac in the restaurant. chips were hot and fresh, but the salsa tasted like literal tomato paste! we even overheard the booth come in after us complain of the same tomato issue. We were served cans of sodas instead of the advertised fountain drinks. After ordering, we received our food that looked differently than what the menu displayed. Tried to tell the staff that our food was low quality, was met with accusations of trying to dine and dash. I can see why this restaurant has a 3 star rating.

I’ve made my last visit after enjoying the food for over sixty years. I don’t know what was worse the food or the service.

Have not been there since 2000 when my mom was alive. She loved it. Do not come here it was awful!!! The chips were so greasy, and had about a 1/4 inch of grease in the basket. The sauce tastes like ragu out of a jar. The tacos were so greasy it just leaked out all over my plate. I told the young lady the chips were so greasy and she replied they are served fresh. I said that is great but the woman needs to drain them. My husband and I both throwing up since we left there. Never had a worse meal. We are so sick!!

Not sure how this placed managed to stay open. Empty restaurant on a Saturday night should have gave us a hint I suppose. The only reason I gave 2 stars was the attentive service we received..(along with 3 other tables that were occupied). The food was just simply not good with an emphasis on Not Good.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but it feels like my civic duty in this instance. Every item tasted as though Mexican food had been poorly described over the phone by someone who had overheard someone else talking about it, and all parties involved were strongly averse to flavor. The tone of the entire experience was set when two ramekins of tomato-based sauce were placed before me and my date. One would assume this to be salsa, but several shocked tastes revealed this to be warmed marinara. Ragu-esque, possibly Prego. Certainly not salsa.

Our food arrived insanely fast. I ordered the #2, which lists a quesadilla among the items on the plate. What appeared before me was a corn tortilla with a layer of pale yellow liquid cheese spread on top of it. This is not my understanding of what a quesadilla is. Upon sampling this oversized nacho, the cheese tasted as though the preparer scooped out half a jar of Cheez-Whiz, replaced that volume with tepid water, and whisked it all together. For garnish, perhaps a little razzle dazzle, there was a smattering of grated white cheese that smelled like mop water on 1/8 of the tortilla.

The beef in the taco and enchilada was unlike any beef I've tasted before. Not only did it not have one grain of any known seasoning on it, but it was as though they cooked it, then thoroughly rinsed it with water to ensure no grease or flavor at all remained on the meat, resulting in grey-brown dry meat granules that only served to confuse the senses.

The enchiladas were rolled so tightly that they were more akin to the frozen taquitos you can find in the grocery store, but that would be a disservice to the good people at the José Olé frozen food factory. The sauce on the enchilada was liquid in texture but somehow still dry. It defied physics.

The rice didn’t just lack flavor—it somehow tasted empty. The beans had a whisper of what canned beans are supposed to taste like, but they were so smooth that they were almost aerated, and I don't mean this in a positive way. The fried taco also had Ragu on it, this time chilled. Not even the chips had salt on them. The chalupa never made an appearance.

The entire experience felt like we had slipped into a liminal space, or into some social experiment conducted by aliens unsuccessfully attempting to recreate what they had heard about one type of human food. We stumbled out of that dark restaurant, confused and hungry but fearful of adding anything on top of what was already sitting uncomfortably in our stomachs. We stared at the ceiling in the dark back home for several hours, trying to talk about what we had just experienced, but unable to find the adequate words. My boyfriend can't stop muttering, "It was marinara. They served us hot marinara." It will take me months to truly unpack what happened to us at Los Corrals.

Wow!! How is this place open!! I don't usually do this but for the love of food gods I have to!!

#1. How do you have spaghetti sauce for salsa?? When we left my wife read the reviews and she said, "omg we are not the only ones who said this"!!!!
I grew up in midtown and back in the day this place used to be good. We went with a party of 20 people who all hated the food!!! The rice was horrible. Its not mexican style nor is it even Spanish rice. I got a over price $15 burrito spread which was the size of a Taco Bell burrito and asked for cheese on my rice which was american Kraft fake cheese. My wife got tamales which were HUGE that should have been the size of my burrito!! But tamales are not generally burrito/chimichanga in size! That was mediocre at best!!! THE FOOD IS 100% WAY OVER PRICED!!!! Im sorry, Taco Bell has got this place beat by a long shot!!
