Totally overrated. Rude staff. Gives new meaning to hole in wall bar. All it's missing is some cat sized rats.

Service is always excellent even when they have a full house. I think I might become a regular. Bring your appetite because portions are generous. Not so close to my office, unfortunately.

The atmosphere and the drinks are well worth a visit alone. The staff is very knowledgeable and personable.

One of the best bars in the country, an inventive, one-of-a-kind bar in which the cocktails are unlike anything you've ever tried. The Beautiful Red Bell is a favorite of mine - who knew that gin and red bell pepper go to together so well? I've only ever sat at the bar, where the servers are attentive.

Great experience! Great drinks! Love it here. Our server made recommendations and we loved it

Really enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and coziness of the booth. Ordered the Smoke & Choke and the Tiger Philanthropist, some sweet potato chips that certainly didn't disappoint. Great place to start an evening on the town. Servers know the menu backwards and forward. I love their savvy and knowledge about what pairs well. I'd encourage reservations or you can forget it! Dont bring the kids, not that kinda spot. Just come and enjoy your bae or just good friends. Simply amazing time.

Such a cool little Speak Easy type hidden jewel. Bartenders were engaging, very knowledgeable, fun to watch perform their magic. They suggested a few options when I told them what tastes I was looking for and they got it right! I was visiting from out of state but would definitely return whenever back in Kansas City. Nice experience. Candlelit and intimate/cozy.

Had a lovely 2 year anniversary here! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend!

A throwback to a historically intriguing time in Kansas City's history. Our group was initially taken aback by the dark almost foreboding venue but warmed up to it quickly. Our server was amazing, she provided good suggestions and prompt service in crowded conditions. Our one serious complaint was the unadvertised time limit on our reservation, we were basically booted out the door 1.5 hours after entry to free up our table. I get that its a small place but if you're going to run it like that you need to say it up front. It was a neat experience but we will likely not return.

This place is a classic! I love that it’s so hidden in KC. I strongly recommend this place! Great cocktail drinks and stuff you have never tried before! I loved the shape of the ice and the atmosphere was lighted by candles super cool! I will be back soon it was a great experience. Very cool to be in a bar from the prohibition era.

This place is a hidden gem! I can’t believe I didn’t hear about it sooner. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is excellent. The candlelight and fun bar tending techniques really make the place fun. I had a gin drink with red bell pepper and it was easily one of my favorite drinks I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to come back and try it again ?

A good old fashioned speakeasy (with the modern day you need a reservation to get in).

cool atmosphere, good drinks, engaging staff!

Definitely lives up to its reputation. The underground speakeasy vibe is worth every penny, but on top of that the drinks live up to their price so it’s a win win.
