They're closing down so this may have been why the service was so awful. But just avoid this place. Walk the extra block to the city market.

The lunch here is decent. I have tried a couple different sandwiches as my office is walking distance so it is definitely ideal in the nicer weather. The patio is spacious and a cool little spot to eat or work. As a Mizzou grad, it is amazing to see that they sell frozen Shakespear's Pizza here, not sure anywhere else in KC does. Kudos for convenience and the pizza!

Extremely over priced for basic groceries and would recommend not going unless you absolutely need too. Breakfast sandwhiches are decent, but also overly priced when you can walk to the market to get better and cheaper food. They also require a mask and if you forgot one, you must purchase one for $3, keep in mind these are the masks typically handed out for free anywhere else. This place will do anything to make an extra dollar.

Delicious chocolate chip cookies are made and sold here. They're soft, chewy, and delicious! The man who makes the cookies is a veteran and learned to bake while in the military. It was great to talk with him and I'm happy to support him by eating tons of cookies!

Rude! I have shopped here a few times but the staff this time has made this my last time. I am aware of mask laws. I forgot mine. Then they sold me the type you get for free at businesses for $3.00 each. Price gauging. Shame on this business.

I have long overlooked the cruddy customer service and lack of professionalism at the market, the too high prices, the chronically broken POS, the freezer burnt old icecream, the subtle, odd smell that affronts your nose when you walk in, but today they sold me moldy product and that’s not cool. Also, the smell was so bad this weekend (permeates your clothes level) like moldy onions en masse that I am now worried that’s overdate food in the kitchen they’re trying to serve to people.

I haven't been here in about five years because the service was always terrible and it just feels run down. I gave it a try again last week and quickly felt like not coming back again. As I approached the counter to check out, the guy working abandoned me, went to the back, looked at his phone, grabbed his bag and just walked out. A couple of minutes after that a girl slowly walked in, went to the back and then came and checked me out. I will never be back. Sad since I live near by.

Wow... After spending the night in the ER with a heart attack scare my wife and I decided to grab lunch here. We enjoyed it so much the previous time we thought why not try again. The young women who I believe to be the daughter of the older man was clearly upset about something. We order 2 sandwiches and 2 smoothies. She asked if we want water or milk. I said " what kind of milk? ". I guess that made her more annoyed and she rattled off a few shaking head and sounded like I just asked if she could churn some butter up or something. After that my wife and I walked around and grabbed a few more snacks and drinks for later. Our total was $46. I tipped a few extra even though the price of everything is much higher than normal which is normal for mom and pop stores. After getting our food and 1 smoothie I realized she didn't make the 2nd smoothie. So I waited for her to come back and asked about it. She seemed to have a meltdown inside and then checked the computer and said " well he charged you for two and.... " then drifted off with words and stomped across the floor to make me another slamming everything she could. I've worked in customer service jobs almost my entire life. In kitchens, taking orders, delivery jobs and I've never treated someone like that. I waited for the 2nd smoothing to come and was going to ask if I had done something wrong, well she slammed it down and stomped to the back of the store so we just left. We will not be going back ever again. If I wasn't in the ER half the night I might have had the energy to snap back but I don't need that stress. STAY AWAY FROM THERE!!!!

Just had an awful experience here. After spending last night in the ER after a heart attack scare, my husband and I were looking forward to grabbing a quick lunch and having a stress-free day. We just moved to the area and had tried out the sandwiches (decent) here a few days ago and the older gentleman (the owner, I assume) had served us and was friendly. However, today was an absolute nightmare. The younger lady with the short hair (who we now think is the owner's daughter) was awful. She seemed annoyed that we ordered food (2 sandwiches and 2 strawberry shakes) but we shrugged it off and waited for our orders. While we waited, we purchased snacks and drinks and paid for our 2 sandwiches and 2 strawberry smoothies ($40+). A few minutes later, we received our sandwiches but only one smoothie. My husband very politely asked the young lady about our other smoothie and she very visibly seemed annoyed and said we had only asked for one, which obviously wasn't the case because we PAID for two. She didn't believe us and checked the transaction to see that we had in fact paid for TWO smoothies. This clearly angered her and she huffed very loudly and I kid you not, STOMPED off audibly to go and make the other smoothie. Once she was done, she slammed the smoothie down on the counter without a word and we were absolutely shocked at her tantrum and attitude as we had been completely friendly, polite, and respectful to her. As we left, my husband theorised that she was the daughter of the owner and that's why was able to get away with treating us so venomously. To see an adult act so disrespectfully to her customers is appalling and disappointing. Once again, we had already had an awful 12 hours after returning from the ER at midnight and even an ounce of kindness would have gone a long way. We absolutely cannot support local businesses that treat customers in this way and recommend avoiding this place.

The customer service is horrible from one morning employee in particular. If you ask for any food to be made they make it seem like the biggest inconvenience and have a very poor attitude about making it. It almost makes me nervous to eat the food. I never feel welcomed when I enter and feel very uncomfortable at all time. The prices are super inflated and I would rather drive somewhere else than spend money here that is located out my back door.
