They might take a minute to get your order to you, but this family owned Waldo staple is worth it. I've been coming to Max's since I was a kid. You can't go wrong with anything you order.
Max's is a family favorite. The food is always fantastic and quick. This weekend we were moving into our new house and needed to feed the whole crew. The owner was patient while we made a big order and took great care of us. Thank you so much!

Got the daily special, a mushroom and swiss burger with fries and a drink. The burger was just plain bad, overcooked, with a texture that made me gag. The mushrooms looked canned.. fries were decent. Coke tasted funny.

Me and a couple of my coworkers went here for lunch today and the service was horrible!! The guy at the counter was extremely rude and snappy! I honestly don't know if it's because we were all black or he just has horrible customer service skills. My coworker recommended the spot and yes their burgers were pretty good. But this was my first and last time going into their establishment. It doesn't cost anything to treat people with respect. They will never get my money again!

This should be on your metro area burger list. They are substantial and great! Everything about this cheeseburger is harmoniously yummy, and the tater tots are how I think they should be fried with hot and crunchy goodness. The only sad part of my last visit was leaving my phone at home, so this means I have to go back and visual evidence of this burger's magnitude.

This is now my burger Go-To joint.. I've lived over 10 years in KC and never knew about this gem. Open since 1986, the food is proven. Burgers are charbroiled with that well seasoned grill flavor and fries are perfection. The Gyros were excellent. Best of all, the couple who run it were warm and welcoming.

The food is good if you can ever get it. It’s very obvious that the owner of this place is not striving for excellence and is planning on working his entire life. The location is very out of the way unless you live at the south end of Waldo. Which means it’s a destination to get to and half the time they are closed. A portion of the time they are out of product. I will not be wasting my time anymore driving that far for a disappointment.
