I go to Messenger a few time s a month because it's just down the street from my office. I love their coffees, bread, and the Club Sandwich. While it's a little pricey, I love the atmosphere, and I feel good about supporting a local business. The Ciabatta bread is my favorite. I wish I could have it every day, but it sells out fast!

A lovely spot with delicious pastries made in house, and fabulous drinks. The kouign-amann is excellent! Perfectly crispy and flaky outside, with a generous coating of sugar, and an incredible inside with that perfect jammy custard texture. Atmosphere is bright and open, and the cups and mugs on offer are classic and fun.

They ignore any change to your order, they just make it how they want to. For a 7.50 drink it would be nice to get the one adjustment.

A busy, 3 story coffee house and bakery.
Great coffee, only had a butter scotch cookie which was delicious.. but they also serve made to order hot food like breakfast burritos and more.. sitting on the roof was really nice but there are allot of steps to climb to get up there.. they have a elevator but I was told that it was for staff only.
Coffee and pastries are really good, so is the place with a lit of space ant tables…. But you have to wait quite a lot. I went on Sunday morning and had to wait around 25 mins to get my coffee.

Great place to gather, talk, work or read. All floors are airy and well kept plus the space has a great ambiance of chatter. Coffee is good and you can watch all pastries being made in house!

I've worked across the street from this shop for the past 5 months and went in for the first time today. It may have been a mistake because now I don't know how I'm going to stay out. The folks working there were incredibly nice. The chai latte was very flavorful and not loaded with sugar. I can't get the focaccia and lox out of my head. Do I get it again? How good is the rest of the menu? I'll probably be back soon to start answering these questions.

This is a fantastic, centrally located place to meet new acquaintances and friends. There are places for meetings, outside and inside seating with tons of tables for remote work or internet surfing.
Let’s talk about the wide variety of fresh, baked here pastries. These aren’t your grocery store or cheap delivered prefrozen items. Check out the large industrial kitchen and bakery shop. I love it when you can see right through the baker’s kitchen and have comfort in knowing your food is made just like grandma used to do, freshly onsite.
Restrooms are under coded lock and are reserved for customers only. A good thing for us who want to have pleasant company around. A bad for homeless who want to live in a local downtown business.

Maybe my favorite bakery and coffee spot around. Everything is baked fresh daily and the coffee is made very well and on Saturdays upstairs on the second floor they have specialty espresso!

This was definitely worth the visit. The house-made syrups were yummy in my matcha. However, the Kouign Aman pastry is the STAR here! Perfect texture; soft on the inside, flaky and sugary on the outside. I’m not exaggerating when I say it is the highlight of my trip so far, but I’m a pastry girl. My husband got the Focaccia and Lox; and while seafood isn’t my thing, he said he was taken somewhere else by both taste and texture.
My only complaints are that I wished the Blackberry Thyme turnover had had more filling, and the breakfast burrito didn’t have the vegetarian option. Be aware, they can’t do any substitutions on the burrito because they are premade.
Also, just know this is a busy place, so the lines and the food wait time can be a while. We came on a Sunday morning, so I don’t know if it’s different on other days, but I wouldn’t treat this like a quick stop unless you are ONLY getting pastries, and even then the lines might be long.
We will be back!
