"Absolutely delighted with the exquisite coffee and pastry experience! The aroma of freshly brewed coffee paired with the heavenly taste of the flaky pastry created an unforgettable sensory delight. Each sip and bite transported me to a realm of pure bliss. Kudos to the talented team behind

My goodness this is such a cute coffee shop!! We stopped here while on a road trip so my wife could take a zoom meeting. I enjoyed chatting with the barista about the different types of coffee they offer, and she was super knowledgeable about the business. The latte she made was also one of the best I have ever had! Next time we go through KC, we'll be making another stop here!

Fun cute and clean coffee shop in the library. Cinnamon roll and flat white 100%. Google maps struggles to get you here. It’s inside the new library.

This coffee shop JUST opened and is the epitome of modern and sleek. It is located inside the Mid-Continent Library, but opens before the library and has tons of seating. There a hot new book drop you want to get in line for? Enjoy a latte while you waitte (that was bad).Got the bacon burrito and a cold brew!

Conveniently located inside the Mid Continent Library branch that is also the home to the system's Culinary Center. Novella is poised to be hot spot with a built in customer base that is ready to study or work; or attend food and drink exhibitions and classes. The space is located just to the right when entering, allowing a quick in & out for those just wanting a cup of Joe and not wishing to visit the library. Hundreds of coffee mugs hang from the ceiling giving a fun visual stimulant and great ambient music was playing to give the ambiance of a hip urban space rather than the suburban library that it is. Tons of natural lighting and an outdoor courtyard make it an inviting destination for patrons to stop and sit a spell. My large Smores Cold Brew was delicious, yet I would advise them to not put the graham cracker crumbles in; the last few sips were just a soggy mess. Pleasant service from the one barista working solo but efficiently.

A hidden gem to come work, study, or read! Staff was friendly and prompt. The coffee is very reasonably priced and high quality. I also had a fruity pastry that was excellent. All of the tables near the windows have outlets and plenty of space to spread out. Will definitely be coming back.

Love that this is INSIDE the library. But, is also a nice stand alone shop to sit in.

Great location! I like Novella's co-located with the library! Novella provides reasonable drink and food options to choose from.

This was a nice, quiet place to work remotely. It is inside the library but still maintains its own space.

So excited about this spot! It’s amazing. There is so much seating and natural light. I’m glad the Northland has a spot like this.

I was excited to visit this shop as i heard it was run by the same owner as the previously failed slow bar. Imagine my discomfort when, as i'm waiting for my drip coffee, i see the owner go towards the trash can and pull out a used to go cup. He then handed it to me and said it was my drip coffee. I will never give this man my business again.

Skip Starbucks. Come here for the delight of high-quality, perfectly prepared coffee, stay for the darling pastries and radiant light through floor-to-ceiling windows, all within a charming children’s library.

Loved this little coffee shop in the library. It's the perfect spot to read a book or work. The coffee was delicious and had little pastries. We got the croissant with sprinkles and had a little icing on the inside. We will be going back for sure!
