I had the red snapper which had the perfect amount of spice and was correctly cooked. Too often smaller fish are overcooked, but this was perfect. My husband had the sea bass which was also perfect. Corn, which tasted fresh off the cob but I'm sure was frozen, was just super delicious and crisp. Our server, Layla was one of the most pleasant and efficient servers we've had. She knew exactly how much time to spend at each table sono table was neglected. We made another reservation later this week and asked for Layla.

Our server Joseph (Joe-Joe, Joe, Mr. J) was excellent. Personable, attentive, knowledgeable. Party of 2 shared the $145 dinner for 2. Crab Cake, House Salad and Lobster Bisque - fantastic! Steak & Lobster - nice portions, steak sliced and lobster tail removed from shell - So good! Sides were plentiful and tasty! Very happy with our 1st experience at Ocean Prime!

Best sushi and wine options in KC. The service is also spectacular and wait staff is so friendly. They make sure everyone has a special experience. Worth every penny for a nice dinner! Recommend the appetizer steak tartar!

The food was incredible, the service was flawless, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I have trouble hearing in crowded restaurants and had no issues here. The service was attentive and thoughtful. And the food was worth daydreaming about. We will be back!

My mother and I ate there on a busy Saturday, for my birthday, and not only was the staff welcoming and kind, they complemented me on my bday fit and had the table set up with bday swag. You could tell they were over worked with a glitch in the “open-table” (I work in kc restaurant) Such a beautiful blessing to have a staff with such grace!

Ocean Prime in Kansas City never disappoints—it’s my go-to spot for an upscale dining experience that’s consistently top-notch. The steak is always cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful every single time. Pair it with their amazing mashed potatoes, which are creamy, buttery, and downright addictive. And don’t get me started on the popcorn—it’s to die for, with that perfect sweet-salty crunch that sets the tone for the whole meal. We sat at the bar this visit, and our bartender Allison was absolutely amazing; she was attentive, fun, and made spot-on recommendations that elevated the evening.
