Found this spot off the beaten path while walking around, not far from downtown. Cookies and pastries were fresh and the employees very friendly!

In the heart of Kansas City lies a bakery that may not catch your eye at first glance, but it’s a discovery worth making. This isn't your typical American-style bakery in size or appearance, but it outshines many with its extraordinary offerings. The star of the show is undoubtedly their pound cake. After one bite, I was convinced that it's the best pound cake I've had in ages. It's the perfect balance of rich flavor and delicate texture, a testament to the artistry and skill behind the oven. But what elevates this bakery even further is the staff. They are as sweet and kind as the treats they serve. In a world where the hustle and bustle often overshadow the human touch, this small team reminds you of the warmth and genuine care that still exists in local businesses. They are attentive, welcoming, and radiate a kind of hospitality that leaves you feeling more like a friend than a customer. This bakery is one of those small, easy-to-miss places that are significantly underappreciated. Yet, it's a hidden gem that truly deserves recognition. If you ever find yourself in Kansas City, step out of your comfort zone and open your mind to this delightful spot. The combination of deliciously sweet treats and kind service is a rare find.In summary, this bakery is not just a place to satisfy your sweet tooth; it's an experience that embodies the charm and warmth of Kansas City. A must-visit for locals and travelers alike!

I went to buy bread and for some reason the display cases where the bread is were open, now I understand why the next day the bread was very hard as stone.

A beautiful bakery serving real and tasty pastries is called Panaderia de las Americas. The carefully crafted sweet snacks have classic flavors. It's a great option for people looking for a taste of Latin American baked products in the city because of its welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. Perfect for a delightful getaway, highly recommended.

The cashier was so nice. I brought a Crossaint filled with Bavarian creme for $1.99. So I handed the cashier $2.00. Then she said it was $2 with tax. I was fumbling for change in my purse. The cashier said it's OK. Then handed me the bag. This small gesture showed me that she has good character. The crossaint was delicious.

I just ordered a cake for my son’s birthday. The cake was amazing. Great quality and great size. The cake was gone in minutes. Everyone loved the cake. I got the tres leches cake with strawberry filling. Best cake ever.

If I’m ever in the area, I make sure to stop by for some treats. Great variety, super friendly and hardworking employees, great prices, big portions, etc. You get so much more for your money here, made fresh, and feels great to be supporting local business. Definitely recommend!

OK, hold on to yer britches, amigo. I'm giving PdLA 5 stars because their bakery items are the bomb! Sorry, no customer wi-fi, lime colored signage, cute stuff animal souvenirs or CDs to buy at the counter, no happy sax muzak, no place to SIT even. Just mouth watering, delicious baked goods in a postage stamp of a storefront. We stopped, a party of four, because someone had a desire for these. And, we have an elderly Hispanic neighbor who doesn't have a lot of money so we pick up stuff like this for her when we can (in return for her homemade enchiladas... OMG...). She said these were the best ever, and I believe her. Truth told, I always found panaderia pastries to be just a tad on the dry side and not always to my craving. But I suspect they are used for dipping in coffee, hot chocolate and stuff and I may just be a d*** gringo. So then why do I keep finding my way to these places? Because they're fun, because they're interesting and it is good food and good culture. And often, the people are really nice as they are here. We tried several items but what really set it off was a stuff swirled pastry with the most delicate coffee flavored cream fill that was simply sublime. Luckily I only ordered one or I would have eaten a bag of them.So while I like the options at Reyna's in the KCK bottoms and the offerings at San Antonio grocery, and the vaunted Bonito Michoacan bakery up on Minnesota Avenue, they're just killing it here. The best of the best in my opinion. If you like to get some of this goodness to go you can't go wrong here.

Bruh, really....I got a rosca to share with my partner and their family and it was literally so sad. It was dry, hard, stale, the toppings were literally falling off or nonexistent. I'm not gonna lie, im really bummed. This is my first dia de los Reyes without my family because they are all in a different state and tbh this one just hurt. I wanted to keep this tradition going out here and share it with the people I care for but it was just really disappointing.
