Q in Kansas City is a gay bar that offers a great night out. The 1 dollar shot is surprisingly good and reasonably priced, and drinks are affordable. Music is great and the second floor is cute, with drag shows and amazing drag queens. The decoration includes disco balls on the ceiling, a gold sparkling DJ booth, gorgeous murals and a quiet speakeasy upstairs where guests can chill alone or with a friend. The back patio is massive, comfortable and warm in winter, with a centered platform for dancing without anyone caring. The vibe is nice, safe and welcoming for queer and minority joy.
