My wife and I visited it for the one and only time about 1 year ago.
We were overwhelmed as soon as we walked in by the beautiful decor and wonderful atmosphere.
We were quickly seated and placed our order. My clam chowder and my wife's salad came promptly. But then... Nothing.
We waited about 30 minutes and were then told a party of 10 had come in right before us to explain why our dinner was delayed.
After another 30 minutes, we inquired again about our dinner, noticing the party of 10 had yet to be served.
At this time our server admitted this was her first night as wait staff, and she is normally a hostess.
She told us the night before the kitchen staff walked out and others followed them, resulting in the kitchen being in chaos.
We thanked her for her honesty, paid for the soup and salad, and drove through Sonic, never to return.

Slow food not properely prepared manager rude threatened to call police there for 2 hours only 1 other table
This place was awful. Made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. There were 12 people dining, 4 people that worked there that appeared to be doing all the jobs. We waited til 9:15 and finally our salads came out. We chose to pay for what we had and leave. Terrible service. No “show” that they advertise…. Oh and the weeds and grass growing through the patio are taller than me. It’s a dump.

Took almost 2 hours to get our food. The prime rib was cold and tasteless as well as the carrots had no flavor. The Caesar salad tasted like fish. Still waiting to see if they'll do something with my bill because of the bad food. They took$5 off of a $31 steak that was not good. Quite the insult. Avoid this place!

Still trying to process our dining experience Friday night. We decided to kick off our Anniversary/Holiday weekend by trying someplace new, and going off of FB recommendations. We went to the Reef up by the airport. My husband ordered a steak Medium Rare and I ordered Swordfish (which I generally order MR as well, but forgot to specify this time). Both of our dishes came out way over cooked. We tried to eat a few bites of our meals but for the price, it just wasn’t enjoyable. We were very polite in asking that they be cooked properly and the waitress willingly took them back to be cooked as requested . She just took my fish though, leaving me my broccoli. Fifteen minutes later…. She comes out with his steak and says that the chef admitted that my fish was over cooked and that she was remaking it (my broccoli was now gone) - but that they stuck a thermometer in Krag’s steak and that the thermometer showed that it was medium rare (no pink visible - and he would know). So she gives him back his steak to eat…. And comes back out with my fish about another 7 minutes later…. No new sides. ? The restaurant was pretty empty at 7pm on a Friday night…. The overgrown grass was all over the courtyard. It was just the most bizarre service ever. The appetizer and salads were really good but we won’t be back. I don’t think they care. I doubt this one is still open in 6 months. Sad, because it had so much potential to be a new favorite spot!

OML!!!The food! The ambiance! The service!Ask for Sara! She paces the meal according to our needs instead of turning the table. She is a wonderful delight. After we were seated, Chris came over and gave us a very detailed tour of the place.Btw...Please! Please! Get a better recipe for your asparagus!

Slow slow slow..... ridiculously short staffed. We were 1 of 5 tables on a Saturday night and there was only ONE yes ONE waitress, no manager on the floor, and no bartender! The clam chowder was from a can! Absolute trash! The swordfish was heavily overcooked and chewy! The best thing there was the mushrooms and canned beer. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It is such a damn shame that they are hanging on by a thread. This place will be closed within the next 6 months. Truly unfortunate.Don't waste your time here. You WILL be dissapointed.

Went to try it out on 19 July 2023. Walked in to a dark, humid, dank interior. It wasn’t very busy, but there was only one person working bar, tables & telephone. She kept telling us she’d be right with us to seat us while she served tables, took their orders, answered the phone…. After 20 minutes of standing there waiting we left. Won’t go back.

Our waiter Chris was beyond excellent! Can’t thank him enough for the wonderful service and chit chat. (Man deserves a raise)Service was amazing. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was unique and beautiful. Coming from out of town, this was a perfect dinner spot near our hotel. If we’re ever back in KC we will definitely visit again!

Once we were seated our waiter proceeded to tell us that they were out of almost everything. So we thought they must have been busy so we ordered some thing else. (They had only been open 4 hours….) 10 minutes later he comes out and tells us that they’re out of what I ordered and asked if we would like to order something else. My husband ordered a salad and some of their “best in Kansas City” onion rings. We decided to go ahead and just take his food to go. We got to our hotel with his salad that had eight bites in it and we get better tasting onion rings at Sonic.
The food was good, the server was great but the Lemon drop was terrible. The manager refused to come speak with me because I didn't want to pay for a drink that was made with sugar instead of the proper ingredients. The manager would tell the server what to tell me instead of doing it herself. I was visiting from another state and anyone who goes there to eat, enjoy the food but be careful if ordering an adult drink.
