Mr. Shang knows his stuff. The tea is incredibly high quality, and he is extremely helpful and kind. The moon cakes are made in house (family recipe). Overall a wonderful experience!

Cute tea shop! Love that it’s authentic and it’s the one of the only full tea shops in the city I think. The tea is delicious and they were able to pour it in your own container if you bring your own. I would have loved to buy a bag on their loose leaf but they were very expensive!!! I understand that it’s probably imported but dang! lol but I was happy to support by at least getting a cup of tea!! 🫖 🍵 The store is pretty quiet but there is a decent amount of seating if you want to stay and enjoy your tea. They also have a nice book all about tea!!

Wonderful tea shop! I loved it. They have a great selection with a few unique teas. Definitely a new favorite of mine. The Red Bean and dark chocolate moon cake was also really good! The owner explained it's a family recipe and they put a lot of effort into making sure their ingredients are fresh.

They have so many amazing teas. You can buy big bags of tea, or order individual cup of teas to go, or sit at their awesome tea store and drink it. The ambience is extremely zen, & teas+moon cakes were delightful! The whole experience was amazing. Thank you : )

I love going here. Every time I come to Kansas City always make a point to stop at Shang's Tea House. The tea is always steeped to perfection, the lotus cakes are a sweet yet subtle snack, and the ambience is a perfect encapsulation of a good cup of tea. The jewelry is lovely and quite affordable for the quality; it's better than anything I can find in my hometown! The staff is welcoming and an absolute delight to talk to, they even remember me even though I come in maybe once or twice a year. I highly reccomend this store, even if it's just to stop by and get a quick cup of tea to go. Stopping by, I always feel a reset deep in my heart that washes away the stress and I've had a few conversations about tea that I still think about!

What an amazing find! After reading Lisa See’s book, The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane last year, I’ve been wanting to taste Pu-erh tea. I was pleasantly surprised to find it at Shang’s Tea House in Kansas City!! I had a cup of the White Tea Pu-erh and it did not disappoint! I also had the unique experience of tasting a moon cake too, which was very good. (I got a gluten free one). The owner of the store was onsite and was very warm and welcoming!! If you’re visiting downtown Kansas City and want a unique experience, definitely visit this store located in the Crown Center plaza!!

Not only are they beautifully crafted and designed, but the staff truly went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I'm looking forward to seeing new designs released and adding to my collection! TYSM!!
