I tried the breakfast burrito by Strang because my coworkers were raving about it! Its a a hefty burrito, with eggs, potatoes, chipotle sauce and your choice of protein. The potatoes were under cooked, and there was barely any chipotle sauce I had to look for it. The sausage was good but its not cut up? It the entire patty in w burrito. I didn't hate it but i don't think I'd order another one. Service was fast, the space is perfect for studying or meeting up with friends!

i wish they had more business! the food here is always incredible and i am excited to try something new every time i go. Tucked inside the basement if the light well building, it feels as if not enough city goers even realize it's there because they should have more business! I would love to see the light well building owners provide more opportunities for the strang collective to thrive.

For my husband's work holiday party this year, they rented out the Strang Chef Collective space at the Lightwell Building. It was the perfect space to throw a party. The open bar, beer and wine selection and mixed cocktails were awesome. Delicious, on theme, and well-balanced. All of the food was delicious and stayed hot during the party which was great because it was more of a casual buffet style situation. The service was fantastic - very kind and caring, delivering whatever was needed. An added bonus to be able to browse the art and the historic Lightwell Building - including old renderings and a 3D model. The holiday decor was super pretty and photo worthy too. Would absolutely recommend having a party here or just visiting for lunch!

What a great concept in the plaza! The plaza needed more patio seating open concept chef kitchens. There are four restaurants and two bars. We only had a shareable while checking it out but highly recommend, and can't wait to try the other restaurants within!

Decided to grab breakfast here while running an errand downtown on 816 Day (KC’s area code), as I heard they were doing some specials. Strang Chef Collective is located on the ground floor of Lightwell, a cool, recently-renovated office tower that features lots of art in the common areas. The building is conveniently located across the street from the Metro Center streetcar stop.I actually liked the stripped down menu choices of just a handful of options and ordered the breakfast bowl, which featured eggs (prepared to your preference), potatoes, onion, pepper and a generous amount of ham (bacon and veggie option were also available). Portion was perfect and the food was tasty!
