I have a sentimental connection with this location-- my father was an acquaintance to the owners and he would bring hotel guests when they asked for authentic Mexican tacos. I also got to experience the flavor and great service prior to his passing. On another note, there are indoor and outside seating choices. There are plenty of other authentic items to purchase and different food items; we always opt for carne asada & al pastor tacos with cheesy fries (queso is thick & tasty). Salsa bar offers great spicy and non-spicy salsas. I like the mural and open space update. RR does need a little attention.

The first time I visited, I purchased the ground beef tacos and they were delicious. Today they didn't have ground beef so I ordered the birria tacos and my friend ordered the steak tacos, which she liked despite how small they were. These were the size of street tacos. Very tiny, very little meat and they don't even put the birria tacos on the grill. The corn tortilla was soggy and they shouldn't be that way. I paid over $14 for 4 mini birria tacos, 2 lime wedges and a cup of consommé. the consommé` did have some flavor, but I wish they would use at least an 8" corn tortilla and grill them like they are supposed to be.Parking: Parking in the area is not good. It's the luck of the draw!

The Mission location is just as good as the KC location. Since I live in Mission, it is much more convenient. The decor is more subtle, and there is much less space for dining in The Original store is more than a restaurant as cold cases and shelving hold Latino foods and merchandise. Each location is worth visiting. I love my shrimp street tacos!
