Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen

A few of us were in the area for work and stopped into Tannin for dinner and drinks last night. The server was amazing, the food was delicious and they had one of my favorite wines, which is hard to find! The whole team had a great time and raved about it all morning!

The food was great. Hostess Becca was incredibly hospitable. Service was mediocre. My colleague told us that her couscous was super salty and barely ate any of it. When I used to serve tables and I was taking away a full plate of food, I would as if there was something wrong w the dish and acknowledge the fact the patron didn’t consume any of it. This server did not. Just took the plate away and not a word of how was everything.

What I mainly don’t understand why I’m required to pay for the employees health insurance on my bill. If you need to account for that add a dollar to the entrees. This is one of the most infuriating things that restaurants do. Covering employees insurance is part of the cost of doing business don’t put that on your patrons. There are plenty of restaurant companies that don’t do this so it just feels like a money grab.

Words can't describe how good the food was on the day of my last visit. Highly recommend a tasting menu if it's offered with wine pairings.

I had the Ceasar Salad and the Curry Chicken Soup. Both were delicious! As was the desert! Our waitress was so friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Excellent service, delicious food

If you're a fan of salt, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, you won't experience any other flavor other then salt. We had several different orders, including pork and chicken, and every single dish was so heavily over-salted that it was difficult to taste anything else. The salt was so overpowering it was almost inedible.

Great food. Great wine. Maggie was our server and she was fantastic with the wine recommendations and knowledgeable about all of the food. 10/10 would recommend.

We really enjoyed our second visit to tannin. Kept things simple with the classic burger and fries. Burger was excellent - well seasoned and delicious - and the fries were spectacular. You absolutely must try the peanut butter and fudge cookie. It’s indescribable.

Food was incredible, service was awesome, atmosphere was elegant and intimate and they have a beautiful patio. The server helped me pick out a perfect bottle of wine even though I had no idea what I even liked.

This has been my experience twice so I just want to comment. The last two times I’ve been to Tannin, I’ve sat at the bar with friends and ordered drinks/small plates/etc. Both times, with different groups of friends, I’ve had a weird experience with the bartender (she has glasses/brownish hair with blonde streaks). Both friend groups commented how they didn’t feel welcomed, or that she came off very annoyed towards us from the time we sat down. It’s odd, and makes me not want to go back.

This was our first time here. We went for Tiki Tannin. Maggie, our server, was amazing. She was very friendly and took great care of us. We had the crispy shrimp, which was delicious. We had a few drinks off the Tiki menu and they were all terrific. I also had one of the best espresso martinis I have ever had. We will definitely be back!
