Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen

I was excited to finally try Tannin, but was not as impressed when I arrived. It was extremely noisy and we couldn't hear each other talking. We all thought the food was excellent. There was a mix up on the wine I had ordered that I believe would not have happened if the server had explained the menus to us.

Would I go again. Yes, but only if I were joining friends for a couple of glasses of wine. Dinner would probably be enjoyable if weather permitted dining outside. My suggestion would be to either find a way to separate the dining area and bar areas, or specialize in one or the other.

Another fantastic wine bar and restaurant. Don't be fooled, it's not really that fancy, it's more hipster then anything. The food was priced right and the portions are huge! The wine list is giant and they have various tastings you can do. I would definitely recommend this and to make it better, the parking out front is all free on the weekends.

I went here for the very first time with a bunch of girlfriends! We were there to celebrate my birthday! I had a blast and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have it at. The atmosphere was super cozy and the servers were very attentive to our table. They made sure that we were enjoying ourselves! The food was absolutely amazing! This is a gem in Kansas City!

Tannin was phenomenal! The staff, drinks, food, atmosphere! We started with a round of espresso martinis, hands down the best in KC yet, we had 3 each by the time the night was over. We ordered the wagyu burger, Amish chicken, and Red snapper. All delicious, full of flavor, and big portions. This was a girls night out, so we we went to Mineral Lounge first and then Tannin. Sister restaurants and highly recommend both!

Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen in downtown KC has a charming patio with beautiful views of the city—perfect for a relaxed, chill vibe. The mix of customers adds to the atmosphere, and the cocktail selection is super cute. I highly recommend the Espresso Martini! The hummus was also delicious. A great spot to unwind and enjoy the downtown scene.
