Quaint little place that has their own bourbon that they use for their old fashioned that comes out of a draft.

Excellent bourbon list. The bartenders were very knowledgeable, friendly, and made unique cocktails. An eclectic food menu which exceeded expectations. An overall great experience!
Celina and her crew took great care of us and now the Belfry is going to be a regular stop-off whenever we are in KC. ANo question.
We went to the Belfry not expecting much. We made a res and accidentally came about 30 mins late (sorry!), but instead of turning us away, or being sore at us, they shuffled us downstairs to the Ground Control bar where they absolutely killed. The drinks were tip top incredible most likely cause most of their liqueurs were homemade. The bartender was amazing. Super nice and full of info we had not known the day before. Don't believe these 1 star reviews, bullshit.
Ended up ordering too much food, which was fine with us because everything was so damn good.

By far KC's best "kept secret" and underknown masterpiece. From the incredibly crafted drinks made by staff as well versed in conversation as they are in their drink-craft, the Michelin worthy food at exceptionally affordable prices, to their creation of a space that is the epitome of "upscale come as you are," the Belfry is truly the best destination in Kansas City. Want to shoot some pool? Then head to their pool hall. Looking for more of a speakeasy vibe? Ground Control in the basement is your spot, with a designated bartender that can tailor a drink to your preference. More of a whiskey connoisseur? I challenge you to find a collection that rivals the bottles that Chef Celina Tio has assembled. And it sounds like they are even expanding to include a space dedicated to those more inclined to wine, as Chef Tio is also a certified Sommelier. In summary, quit googling and just go the Belfry.

Have frequented the Belfry many times over the years and it's always fantastic. On our last visit I ordered a burger and it was hands down the best burger I have had in KC along with some delicious hand cut fries. Not surprising at all but it was so good I felt I needed to leave a review. Small space but you can order and hang out in the gameroom and play some pool if it's crowded.

Pretty good food, very nice service, but the prices were pretty high for what it was.

We both loved our burgers. The house made ketchup is SO good.
I'm not a bourbon person but my friend is and enjoyed the Bib & Tucker 6 year that the server recommended. He was very knowledgeable about bourbon and made recommendations based on her preferences. We are so happy we found this place! If I lived here, I would come here often!

Cool spot, KC gem with a great vibe. Great cocktails and service! Stop by.
I really wanted to like this place. Our server was great. Unfortunately, it was the worst food I've had in a long time. Nachos had zero flavor and hardly any cheese sauce, which did not taste like manchego at all and no way that bland meat passes as chorizo. Worst cheeseburger I've ever had: burger was burnt, the bun was burnt, the cheese had zero flavor and it comes with no sauce whatsoever, just a sad piece of lettuce, a couple pickles and a few onion slices. The bierock was tiny, the bread was rock hard and the filling tasted terrible. I'll never be back.

Wonderful food and drinks. One of KC’s gems.
This is a place that reminds me of where Locals go-not tourists. Solid food, great drinks, pool, staff that knows their regulars and is there to provide good service. Would recommend .
